Things You Didn’t Know About Yassi Pressman

WE FIRST saw Yassi Pressman as a child actress in the Kristine Hermosa-TJ Trinidad starrer ‘Gulong ng Palad’. Later on, she was launched as one of GMA-7’s promising teen stars.

With her natural beauty and talent in terms of performing, Yassi gained a lot of fans right away. She is constantly offered projects and gained more popularity when she moved to ABS-CBN and became Coco Martin’s lead female love interest in FPJ’s Probinsyano.

Now that Yassi Pressman just turned 26 years old, let us take a glimpse at the life of this Fil-British beauty!

EARLY LIFE

Yassi Pressman was born as Yasmin Isabel Yasto-Pressman on May 11, 1995 in British Hong Kong to a Filipina mother and a British father. She has four sisters – Abby, Cara, Siobhan and Issa.

 

CAREER BEGINNINGS

Yassi first appeared in the television series Gulong ng Palad in 2006 as the Young Luisa. After her debut in the television, she has been on the down low. She gave showbusiness another shot when she signed up with the Viva Artists Agency and Viva Entertainment that allowed her to be a regular face on GMA projects.

During the early parts of her career, she has already showcased her exceptional abilities on the dance floor. As a regular performer on Party Pilipinas and Sayaw Pilipinas, she was eventually dubbed as the “Princess of the Dance Floor”.

TELEVISION CAREER

From setting the dance floor on fire, Yassi ventured in various television shows. Her first series after signing with GMA is Adik Sa’yo, a dark romantic comedy that stars Jolina Magdangal, Dennis Trillo and Marvin Agustin.

She was seen in one of the longest running drama anthologies (Magpakailanman), Anna KareNina remake, Tween Hearts and Hiram na Alaala. In 2015, she was with TV5’s Wattpad Presents – for both Mr. Popular meets Ms. Nobody and My Fiance Since Birth.

Undoubtedly, Yassi Pressman’s breakthrough role is when she was chosen to play the role of Alyana, the wife of Cardo Dalisay (played by Coco Martin). For four years, Kapamilya viewers embraced Alyana’s character and up to this day, there is still a demand for the Coco-Yas loveteam to have their own film. Maybe soon they’ll reunite?

Alyana’s character was killed off the show earlier this year. Soon, Yassi Pressman will host a new game show with TV5 and we’re excited!

Yassi
’s film debut was in the 2011 teen oriented movie Tween Academy: Class of 2012 as Caitlin. She followed through the next year with the fantasy movie Si Agmat, si Enteng Kabisote at si Ako. The film that catapulted her to nationwide fame would be Diary ng Panget in 2014, where she starred with Nadine Lustre, James Reid and Andre Paras.

She landed one of her lead roles in the film Girlfriend for Hire, acting as Nami San Jose, the girl who agreed to be hired as a professional girlfriend. She was reunited with Andre Paras who played the lead male role. Yassi appeared in various films through the years such as Camp Sawi, Ang Pambansang Third Wheel, Born Ready and The Mall, The Merrier.

Yassi is a veteran product endorser. She has endorsed for huge companies that manufactures various range of products. She was first seen in a commercial for the Greenwich Pizza chain and the GAOC Dental Clinic in 2015.

In 2017, she became the brand endorsers for Nivea deodorant, Silka bath soap, Rebisco biscuits and San Miguel flavored beer. She continued to appear in other commercials for Del Monte Fit & Right, Honda Motors, Krem Top Wrangler Apparel, and Cream Silk conditioner.
