Things You Didn’t Know About Kim De Leon

Honestly, I have been seeing this cute kid in different television commercials and print advertisements for a long time. He had this great big smile that translates warmth in his eyes.

A few years after, I was surprised to see him join Starstruck Season 7. Surprised because he had grown a lot, and surprised because he could have done it sooner – Kim De Leon is the entire artista package!

After winning the grand prize, Kim had proven himself to be more than just a face. He has been slowly building his career from the bottom up, accepting various roles to build his portfolio and hone his talents in the field that he worked so hard for.

Here are some of the things you may not know about the ultimate male cutie, Kim De Leon.

EARLY LIFE

Kim was born on November 9, 1999 in Balayan, Batangas. He studied at the Balayan National High School. Kim has a half-brother named Christopher.

From a young age, Kim is already known to have a radiant and positive personality. Apart from his charms, impressive height and cute smile, Kim makes everyone around him comfortable. This positive personality and outlook in life helped him through all the rejections he faced while facing his dream – becoming an actor.

 

CAREER BEGINNINGS

Kim had started his career in showbusiness like many others did – through appearing in various television commercials and advertisements. His exposure to showbusiness led him to participate in the reality television show StarStruck. The show, which was hosted by Jennylyn Mercado and Dingdong Dantes, had showcased the talents  of 14 wanna be artistas. They had been mentored by the council composed of Heart Evangelista, Cherie Gil and Jose Manalo. Kim was proclaimed the Ultimate Male Survivor last September 2019. The Ultimate Female Survivor was Shayne Sava.

In March 2020, Kim signed an exclusive contract with the GMA Network Artist Center. Among his first projects after signing, is the noontime show “All-Out Sundays”. He worked with his fellow Starstruck alumni batchmates Radson Flores, Abdul Raman, Vince Crisostomo, Allen Ansay, Karl Aquino, and Jerick Dolormente.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

After doing projects left and right, Kim performed well in the fantasy romance anthology My Fantastic Pag-Ibig. The show premiered on January 2021 and ended recently, October 20, 2021. In this show, he played the character Milos/Pido. His character is the modern day cupid who aimed to destroy the dating app MatchMaker. He worked with Lexi Gonzales, Rodjun Cruz, and Maey Bautista.

Kim had also been a guest in The Boobay and Tekla Show. He also worked as a guest in other shows such as Catch Me Out Philippines, Game of the Gens and Sarap Di Ba? He also appeared in the television series Dear Uge, All Out Sundays, Magpakailanman and Pepito Manaloto.

FUN FACTS

Kim De Leon

Kim had already showcased his talents in singing, dancing, acting in hosting. He even performed excellently in front of his showbusiness crush, Heart Evangelista! Although right now all his projects are focused on entertaining, Kim explicitly said that he dreams to become a bankable action star one day.

Just like the rest of the Gen Z, Kim is highly active in social media. He posts his works in his IG: kimmdeleon_ which currently has over forty thousand followers. He also posts adorable photos of his dog Kuju Carter. For his Twitter, he could be followed @kimthelion_

Kim is set to appear in the Regal Studio Presents: Magkaibigan, Nagkaibigan together with Lexi Gonzales and Anjay Anson this Sunday. The show will start after Dear Uge at 4:35 PM in GMA Network.
