Jerome Ponce, is a Filipino actor and model who started his career at a young age. Having won the GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards’ Most Promising Loveteam (with Janella Salvador) on Television, just few years after his debut.
That same year, 2014, he also won the German Moreno Youth Achievement Awards in the 62nd FAMAS Awards. With that, you know that he is one of the up and coming actors to watch.

Born Joseph Jerome Gapido Porciuncula in Naga City, Jerome hails from a family of actors, albeit by association. He is the nephew of the veteran actor Lauro Delgado, who is Loreto Porciuncula in real life.
Although he finished his high school at the Malayan High School of Science in Pandacan, Manila, he opted to postpone getting his bachelors education for his acting career. He was set to enter the prestigious Mapua Institute of Technology prior to his decision to focus on his acting.
Entry to Showbiz
Jerome’s path to showbusiness is not easy. He first tried his luck by auditioning in the nationally popular reality shows Big Bother and Pinoy Big Brother, although he did not make it to the final cut of contestants. He made his official introduction to the entertainment business when he was introduced to be part of the Star Magic Circle in 2013, together with Liza Soberano, Khalil Ramos, Julia Baretto, Janella Salvador among others.
Jerome was first known in the show business for his debut role in the hit day time series “Be Careful With My Heart”, where he played the role of Luke Lim, one of the kids Maya (played by Jodi Sta Maria) is in charge of.
From “Be Careful With My Heart”, he worked his way up by appearing in numerous hit television series. He then appeared in the family melodrama “Nasaan Ka Noong Kailangan Kita” as Ryan Briones, the would be husband of Corrine Natividad (Played by Jane Oneiza).
He also appeared several times (“Simbahan” in 2019, “Tahanan” in 2017 and “Pintura” in 2016 in the drama anthology “Maalaala Mo Kaya”. He also made several appearances in the legal drama “Ipaglaban Mo”, appearing in “Hawa” in 2019, “Bastardo” in 2018, “Sementado” in 2017 and “Tapat” in 2016.
On TV, Jerome Ponce’s breakthrough project as a lead actor is ‘The Good Son‘ where he was reunited with NKNKK co-star Joshua Garcia. A lot of critics loved his portrayal of the elder brother Enzo, who is an anti-hero.
He recently finished a project with the Kapamilya Channel, appearing as 2nd Lt. Philip “Phil” Panganiban in the series ‘A Soldier’s Heart’ which replaced “The Killer Bride”. The series includes veteran actors Gerald Anderson, Carlo Aquino, Vin Abrenica, Elmo Magalona, Jerome Ponce, Yves Flores, Nash Aguas and Sue Ramirez.
Jerome is also set to show his funny side via TV5’s Sunday KaDa which will be launched this coming Sunday, October 18!

Aside from appearing in numerous television shows, Jerome also had built quite an impressive filmography for his age. His first debut in the big screen was with the movie “Haunted Mansion” in 2015, where he played the role of Jacob, one of the lead character, Ella’s admirers (played by Janella Salvador).
He appeared in another horror film “The Ghost Bride” starring Kim Chiu. From there, he took on various roles that showcased his acting abilities. He starred in the young adult movie “Walwal”, romantic dramas “Finding You” and “Hello, Love, Goodbye” and the romance film “Ang Henerasyong Sumuko Sa Love”.
Jerome Ponce is set to appear in the upcoming Filipino digital webseries “Ben X Jim”, of boy’s love genre under Regal Entertainment Inc. The series starts with Benjamin or Ben (played by Jerome) living alone, pressured by his family to move with them in America. His childhood friend, Jimson or Jim (played by Teejay Marquez) is set to move back home to spend the quarantine with his family. This story of friends into lovers and back to strangers is set to stir up memories about a love found and then lost.
He is also one of the Star Magic talents selected by BrightLight Productions to be part of the new Sunday sexy-comedy show ‘Sunday Kada’ which will be launched this Sunday afternoon.
Well, what can I say? It’s refreshing for a young actor to take in various roles that could possibly showcase his acting skills and range. From a sweet teenager, to a badass soldier, and now a boy exploring his sexuality and finding love, Jerome is indeed a star in his own right!
