AS A FAN of Goin Bulilit, I have known Belle Mariano for quite some time. She was that adorable yet funny kid in the show you’d always welcome to watch every weekend.
It surprises me that those times had long gone and Belle had bloom into the beautiful young lady she is now, befitting her name perfectly.
Apart from her pretty face, watching Belle take in more major roles had been quite a delight. Knowing that she is going to lead her own series actually excites the long-time fan in me. Here are the things you may not know about Belle Mariano.
Belle Mariano was born as Belinda Angelita Mariano on June 10, 2002 in Pasig City, Philippines to parents Michael and Katrina Mariano. She has two other siblings.
At a young age of nine, Belle already debuted in the national television, playing various roles in the youth-oriented kids gag comedy show, Goin Bulilit, which she has been a part of from 2012 to 2015. Apart from her regular acting commitment with the show, Belle also appeared in shows such as Maalaala Mo Kaya and Princess and I, all in 2012.
In the same year, she landed a role in the highly popular television drama Lorenzo’s Time which stars child actor Zaijian Jaranilla. IN the show, she portrayed the younger version of Carmina Villaroels’ character, Kat Kat. Belle continued to land various roles, playing the younger version of the main lead such as in the series Juan Dela Cruz, Maria Mercedes and Muling Buksan Ang Puso, all of which were in 2013.
EXTENSIVE FILMOGRAPHY IN TELEVISION
Just like many big stars of this generation, Belle started playing minor roles – mainly the younger version of a character. Past Goin’Bulilit, she started with Princess and I in 2012 and had worked her way up to various television series such as Nathaniel, On The Wings of Love, You’re My Home, Pasion De Amor, Bagani.
In several occasions, she played her own character such as in Kadenang Ginto (as Catherine Herrera), La Luna Sangre ( as Jan-Jan) and Hawak Kamay (as Cherry).
Belle also did a handful of movies, apart from her extensive television projects. Her first film was the romantic drama comedy, Can’t Help Falling In Love which stars the super popular couple Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo in 2017. In the same year, she acted the role of Ronnabel in the romantic comedy film Love You To The Stars And Back, starring Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto.
For three years, she went on movie hiatus. Only breaking it in 2020 with the film James, Pat and Dave. Also in the same year was her breakthrough movie Four Sisters Before the Wedding.
What could be considered as her breakthrough in prime time series television was when she landed a role in the long running action drama series FPJ’s Ang Probinsiyano. From 2015 to 2016, she played the supporting role of Rachel Tuazon.
As for her breakthrough in the big screen, she landed the much coveted role of the young Gabbie Salazar from the movie Four Sisters Before the Wedding in 2020. She played the younger version of Shaina Magdayao’s character. In an interview, she said that she didn’t find it hard to get into the role, as she felt the warmth of the family.
Belle landed another huge role in the adaptation of the highly popular Wattpad series “He’s Into Her” by author Maxinejiji. Paired besides Donny Pangilinan, Belle will play the role of Maxpein Zin Del Valle, the from the province teenager who agreed to live with her lately discovered wealthy father in Manila, in exchange for paying her grandmother’s hospitalization bills.
