IT CAN now be told. Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli are officially a couple.
Sarah finally ended speculations about her romantic relationship with Matteo when she broke her silence during the victory party for her movie Maybe this Time opposite Coco Martin.
Tinanong siya ng The Buzz kung “mahal” nga ba ang tawagan nila ni Matteo. Inamin kasi kamakailan ng actor-tv host na “mahal” ang tawag niya kay Sarah. Ito ay matapos ang insidente kamakailan involving him and Direk Wenn Deramas who posted a screen grab of his cellphone on his Facebook account. Laman ng screen grab ang palitan nila ng text messages ni Matteo. The actor greeted him, “Magandang umaga” pero ang sumunod na text sa kanya ni Matteo ay “Good morning mahal.” Upon realizing his mistake, Matteo immediately texted Direk Wenn at sinabing “typographical error” ang kanyang nai-send.
Sa harap ng mga press ay walang kakurap-kurap na inamin ni Sarah, “Oo naman. Sige, sabihin ko na po, boyfriend ko po si Matteo. Marami rin ang nagsasabi na parang paliguy-ligoy. Para once and for all, ‘di ba po may clarity rito sa isyu?”
In another interview of The Buzz ay nagpasalamat si Sarah. “Siyempre thankful naman tayo sa Diyos [for] everything that’s happening. Bliness din ako ng Diyos ng ganitong klaseng relationship, ganitong klaseng ka-relasyon kasi mabait na tao naman si Matteo. Talagang matiyaga.”
Sarah already met Matteo’s parents. Mabait daw ang pamilya ng aktor.
Matteo was in the US para sa mga series of events ng TFC when Sarah made the admission pero hindi ito naging hadlang para tanungin siya tungkol sa isyu. “It’s not just Sarah… It’s Sarah, my girlfriend,” ang nakakikilig niyang sabi.
“I’m really proud of her. On a serious note, I’m very, very proud of her. I’ve told the press before in Manila that I would tell you guys if I could. Now I can, because she said it first. I just want to respect her side, her family, and everything.”
Dagdag pa ni Matteo, “I’m very proud of her that she’s standing up for herself. You know, she’s 25 years old and she’s starting to enjoy life more. I want to show her what life is! I just want her to be happy!”
Nagpapasalamat din si Matteo sa lahat ng mga taong sumusuporta sa kanilang relasyon ni Sarah. “Maraming salamat sa kanilang lahat for supporting us, for supporting Sarah because she’s a lovely person. She deserves all the best. She deserves all the happiness in life.”
