ON RAPE: “I don’t wish death on anybody but I do wish that they suffer the consequences.” – Ria Atayde

Ria Atayde

NAKA-THREE taping days pala si Ria Atayde for this Saturday (July 22) episode ng MMK where she plays the role of Hershey Hilado na sa kuwento ng buhay ng letter sender, she was sold by her Korean boyfriend kung saan ikinasal sila.

Sa kaso ni Ria, based sa teaser of the Saturday anthology hosted by Charo Santos, may eksenang rape ang young actress na or the first time in her acting career, ito ang unang rape scene infront of the camera.

”After their wedding, doon nangyari ng marital rape,” impormasyon ng dalaga sa amin thru our FB interview.

Pero si Direk Dado Lumibao is amazing and it was shot beautifully.

“I believe my career has blossomed but is still far from being completely bloomed. Ang dami ko na pong natutunan but the more I learn, the more I realize that there are many things I have yet to learn. Super ganda po ng takbo ng career ko and I am so grateful for being blessed like this.”

After ng MMK episode sa dating na Sabado, she’ll fly to Singapore this weekend to shoot for the month-long anniversary presentation ng Ipaglaban Mo aside from a short guesting sa isang fantasy show na napapanood on weekends.

After portraying the role of Dra.

“But I’m wish it will come very soon,” pagkukuwento pa ng dalaga.

“If anything, mauna po ata Arjo-Sylvia. But of course, I would love to have work with the two of them. It would be an honor and so much fun!”

Sa karanasan ng dalaga portraying the role of Hershey na isang “self-made” Pinay born in the Philippines but now based in Australia on women and the issue of rape; this should be taken seriously and not a joke.
My stake on rape, nakakaawa ang biktima at ang may kagagawan ng krimen should be put to jail para magdusa kung hindi man patawan ng “death penalty.

But for Ria: “I don’t wish death on anybody but I do wish that they suffer the consequences…maybe lifetime imprisonment so they think about their faults. As for rape itself, it’s an injustice that happens every day regardless of one’s status in life. It’s taking away somebody’s choice and disrespecting that. It’s making someone believe they’re less people than what they are can potentially be. It’s stripping them off their dignity and changing their lives forever…traumatizing them physically, mentally, and emotionally. I do not wish this on anybody.”

For MMK ‘s  Saturday episode  ay makaksama ni Ria sina Aleck Bovick, Ryle Santiago, Marithez Samson, Richard Reynoso, Ernier Garcia, Simeon Ibarra and Jordan Hwang who plays her husband.

Saludo ako ‘yo Ria Atayde.
