Ayon sa anak ni Ruffa sa former partner na si Yilmaz Bektas, now is the right time para pasukin niya ang showbiz.
Ani Lorin, “I’ve been waiting when’s the right time to finally do this and finally follow in my family’s footsteps. And now that I’m almost 18, it just feels right. It feels like I’m comfortable finally.”
Wala rin nag-utos sa kanya na sumunod sa yapak ng kanilang family members na lahat ay nasa showbiz din.
“Never naman sinabi ng family ko na kailangan mong gawin ito ngayon or they never tried to rush me. They never tried to pressure me so parang everything was on my own pace and now I’m ready. I’m excited. Wala naman akong takot or nervousness,” deklara pa ng dalaga.
Sa tanong kay Lorin kung humingi pa ba siya ng permiso sa amang si Yilmaz sa pagpasok niya sa showbiz, sabi ni Lorin ay hindi na raw.
“I didn’t necessarily get permission. Hindi naman ako nagtanong ng ‘Hey, is it okay if I do this?’
“But there’s an open line of communication po between my mom and my dad. They still communicate, co-parent me and Venice as best as possible. And my mom definitely informed him of it.
“Hindi naman siya blind in everything that’s happening in my life and we update him with what’s happening and take into account and respect his opinion naman. Pero my decision to join showbiz was fully my own.
“And I, of course, have to ask permission from my mom, but I didn’t necessarily say that, ‘Can I join?’ But definitely, he’s aware and he knows about it,” katwiran ni Lorin.
Magaling magsalita at sumagot sa mga tanong ng showbiz press si Lorin kaya puwedeng-puwede siyang sumali sa beauty pageant. Kasama ba sa kanyang plano in the future?
“As of now, I think I want to focus on my showbiz career and acting. But I don’t know what the future holds, so ayokong magsabi ng definite answer coz I’m not sure my mind could change at any moment.
“But as of now, to be honest, I’ve no idea… I really have no idea, but we’ll see,” tugon ni Lorin.
Matatandaang ang nanay ni Lorin na si Ruffa ay dating beauty queen. Nanalo siyang 2nd princess sa Miss World noong 1993.
