BONGGA! Ang akala ko ay namahinga na ang LUNA Awards ng Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP). Ang akala ko ay nawala na ito at hindi na nakasabay sa sampu-samperang mga award giving bodies na maging ang walang katuturan at koneksyon sa industriya ng pelikulang Pilipino ay hayun, nagbuo ng grupo at nagbibigay ng kani-kanilang sariling awards.
Last week ay inilabas na ng Film Academy of the Philippines ang mga nominado sa 12 kategorya sa kanilang 35th Luna Awards na ni-nominate ng iba’t ibang mga guild or grupo sa film industry.
Narito ang mga special awards at nominasyon para sa Luna Awards 2017:
1. Golden Reel Award: Eddie Garcia
2. Fernando Poe Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award: Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista
3. Manuel de Leon Award for Exemplary Achievements: production designer Des Bautista
4. Lamberto Avellana Memorial (posthumous) Award: director Mario O’Hara, actress Lolita Rodriguez and Bibsy Carballo
5. Awards of Appreciation for director Lav Diaz and actress Charo Santos-Concio

Pinangalanan din ng FAP ang mga nominees nila para sa kanilang Luna Awards 2017 sa mga kategoryang: Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Editing, Best Musical Score at, Best Sound.
