With EnPress President Jun Nardo as the punong-abala, the event coincided with the contract signing sa pagitan ni Bistek (as he’s fondly called in showbiz) at ng Viva Films—his home studio—for a four-picture, five-year managerial contract.

Theirs is titled Lumayo Ka Nga sa Akin.

Touched ang alkalde dahil personal choice daw siya ng aktres for their reunion movie.

But more than Bistek’s reviving his movie career, hindi maiiwasang itanong sa kanya ang tungkol sa kanyang political agenda. Now on his second term as QC mayor, tatapusin ba niya ang kanyang termino sa pagtakbo sa 2016 elections or will he aspire for an elective post on the national level, as in senador?

“Well, it all depends on the party (Liberal Party), susunod lang ako sa kagustuhan nila,” sey ni Bistek who also relies on the political genius of House Speaker Sonny Belmonte, both his predecessor and adviser.

Para sa amin, there’s no rush in getting ahead. Let Herbert’s last mayoral term leave an indelible mark—as did his previous terms—sa kanyang mga nasasakupan para sigurado na ang kanyang next step towards a higher position.

In the meantime, his supporters are simply too happy and excited that showbiz has figuratively stolen him from politics.
