When she said in her past interview na it’s the first and last time na pag-uusapan niya si Herbert ay marami ang hindi naniwala. Si Kris pa, makakatiis na hindi magdaldal? hindi ‘no!
True enough, hindi rin napigilan ni Kris ang hindi magsalita when Boy Abunda asked her in passing about Herbert without mentioning his name.
“We’re friends, and I want to stay friends,” sabi ni Kris. “If I say anything now, we might not be friends. And he’s actually watching right now so I better shut up!”
Ang nakakaloka, ini-reveal ni Kris na pinadadalhan siya ng fruits ni Herbert. “Kung anu-ano pinagsasabi ko na naman! Sorry, matulog ka na! Huwag mo na akong pansinin… No, I appreciated the fruits!”
TINANGGAP NI Irma Adlawan ang OFW movie na EDNA not because she’s playing the title role.
“One because it’s a friend’s project which is Ronnie Lazaro and Tonet Gedang,” she said in our interview at the Manila Peninsula lobby.
“They mentioned it already bago pa natapos ang script. Nasa utak pa lang ni Ronnie, a gist, a summary of what he wanted to do. Sabi niya, ‘meron akong gustong gawin. Gusto rin ni Tonet na gumawa ng pelikula. Gusto ko ikaw (ang bida).”
For this great actress, EDNA is a different OFW film – much different from Flor Contemplacion to Anak to Cattleya.
“Ang story lagi ng OFW na pinapakita natin ay ang problema ng nanay sa anak. Itong story ng EDNA ay binibigyan ng boses ang OFW, ‘yung hindi niya masabi sa pamilya niya dahil siyempre as Filipinos ang ano natin ay obligasyon natin na tumulong sa pamilya, pati ‘yong sa extended family. Dito the twist at the end na hindi mo-ini-expect ay parang nagsalita siya in a way na hindi siya nakasakit pero inilabas niya. Hindi siya the usual OFW story na at the end ay may reconciliation, at end they will understand, at the end they will say I will not do it again. Hindi siya ganoon. Hindi siya the usual ending.”
