TALIWAS SA nagsusumamong pakiusap based on its title, ABS-CBN’s Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala will soon burst like a bubble.
Idinaan namin sa blind item dito ang kalagayan ng naturang comeback soap ni Judy Ann Santos. Embarrassing para sa mahusay na aktres nang ipatawag umano siya ng top management informing her that the ratings of her soap on the station’s Primetime Bida block do not measure up to the bosses’ expectations.
Dahil dito, if the soap would not shape up ay kakakanselahin na lang ang palabas. By shaping up, the creative team had to pool its resources para gawing mas pagmukhaing aping-api si Juday sa kuwento sa kamay ng demonyong si Sam Milby.
As if such histrionic acting were not enough, isinama rin sa kuwento si Gretchen Barretto but the socialite actress’ participation did not in any way help boost its dismal ratings.
So, who’s the “David” that felled “Goliath” with his arm sling? Ang bekiserye lang naman ng kabilang istasyon… bongga ka, ‘Day!
