HINDI MAIIWASANG maraming magalit sa karakter ni Denise Laurel sa afternoon series ng ABS-CBN na The Better Half. Pero magkaganun man ay happy pa rin siya sa feedbacks na natatanggap.
“I think galit sila,” bungad niyang pahayag, “pero what I love about the Filipinos today is that they distinguish who you are and who your character is.
“A lot of times, throughout the day, I get messages on social media that “I hate Bianca but I love you so much”, “I don’t understand how I can hate Bianca so much, but then, I’m so fond of you.”
“And that’s so flattering, you know. Coz they can distinguish who I am as a person, and yet, see this completely different character when they watch the show and they hate her so much,” paliwanag ng aktres.
Inamin din ni Denise na dahil sa sobrang bigat ng karakter niya sa The Better Half kaya hirap siyang mag-shift into her real self. May time pa nga raw na kapag nasa Bianca mode at kinausap siya ng direktor ay nasisigawan niya ito.
“I struggle with that, ‘yung I’m Bianca right now and I answer you as Bianca, but later after take, I feel bad, so nagso-sorry ako right after na “sorry, I was answering as Bianca, ha?” There’s a struggle talaga,” kuwento pa niya.
