Cherry Pie Picache, may bagong kinahuhumalingan Nag-venture na sa restaurant si Cherry Pie Picache. She’s now part owner of Alab Resto na nag-open sa UP Town Center.

We tried their dishes and we found all of them delicious. Wala kang itulak-kabigin sa iba’t ibang putahe na nakahain coming from different regions in the country.

“It’s a blessing and I’m very grateful,” say ni Cherry Pie Picache sa pagsabak niya sa food business.

She also explained kung bakit Alab ang ipinangalan nila sa resto.

“It means passion, fervor, fire. All of us decided on it,” esplika niya.

It’s no wonder kung bakit napunta sa food business si Cherry Pie.

“Sa mga nakakakilala sa akin ay alam nila na I’m passionate in cooking. Nakuha ko siya sa aking ina.”

Actually, patikim pa lang ang  food served to us sa Alab, dahil hindi pa inilalabas ni Cherry Pie ang dishes na natutunan niya sa kanyang mother dear like chicken galantina, kaldereta, kare-kare.

“Foodish kami, eh, ‘yung family namin ay talagang mahilig magluto. We’ll be featuring chefs from all over the Philippines, mga kusinero. Ang paborito ko rito ay ‘yung Pianggang, a Tausug dish. We have tinumok. Kasi ang concept ng Alab is best dishes from different regions.”
