BTS leads the 30th Seoul Music Awards Winners List

The winners of the 30th Seoul Music Awards was finally revealed last January 31 at the KSPO Dome.

Global superstars BTS received the DAESANG (Grand Prize) this year. All in all, the group received a total of six awards for Daesang (Grand Prize), Best Album Award (Map of the Soul:7) , Best Song Award (Dynamite) , the K-Wave Award, the WhosFandom Award (BTS and ARMY), and a Bonsang (Main Award) for a total of six trophies. This is also the fourth year of BTS receiving the much-coveted Daesang award.

BTS weren’t able to attend the event, but they sent in their video message to thank all the fans who showed their utmost support to the group.

Some of the K-pop acts who graced the 30th Seoul Music Awards with their powerful performances include Twice, Seventeen, Monsta X, NU’EST, Lim Young-woong, Tomorrow X Together, ATEEZ, Oh My Girl, (G)I-dle, Jessi, ITZY, Iz*One, Kang Daniel, Leenalchi, Treasure, ENHYPEN, aespa, Stray Kids and The Boyz

Best Performance Award: (G)I-DLE, THE BOYZ

OST Award: Jo Jung Suk (“Aloha” from “Hospital Playlist”)

Trot Award: Im Young Woong

Ballad Award: B1A4’s Sandeul

R&B/Hip Hop Award: Jessi

Band Award: LEENALCHI

Discovery of the Year: ITZY

Popularity Award (Korea): Im Young Woong

K-Wave Award (outside of Korea): BTS

WhosFandom Award: BTS and ARMY

Fan PD Artist Award: Kang Daniel

Rookie of the Year: TREASURE, aespa, ENHYPEN

The event was hosted by Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung, Super Junior’s Kim Heechul, and Shin Dong Yup. Congratulations to all the winners!
