But while the former beauty queen didn’t opt to join showbiz, ang 19 year-old na varsity player in a Las Piñas school na pinapasukan niya chases his dream sa mundong ito.

Mula nang officially magsimula sa showbiz only this May, Anjo has had his fair share of remarkable guestings tulad sa Muling Buksan ang Puso, Once Upon a Time, Maalaala Mo Kaya at pasulpot-sulpot din sa ASAP. Anjo also did a movie, ang Just The Way You Are.

Bukod sa acting, forte rin ni Anjo ang pagkanta as he sings jazz and R & B.

FOR WHATEVER it’s worth, here’s our unbiased take on the Christmas station IDs of ABS-CBN and GMA.

Ang sa Kapamilya Network is titled Thank You For the Love; while GMA’s is Magmahalan Tayo Ngayong Pasko.

Melody-wise, mas appealing sa amin ang sa GMA which begins with repeated “ohhhh”’s before the lyrics in contrast to ABS-CBN’s na una ang mga liriko followed by the “ohhh”’s.

Both are a show of force sa paramihan ng mga network artists—both in news and entertainment—pero mas lutang ang sa Dos. But while it’s obvious na kokonti lang ang mga bituin sa Siyete, the station ID puts more emphasis on personalities.

The scene opens with the Dantes couple sa kabila ng katotohanang sa mismong Kapaskuhan, their presence is hardly felt on screen: effective November 8, Mrs. Dantes has gone on maternal leave samantalang ang huling episode ng Starstruck, kung saan host si Dingdong airs exactly a week before Christmas.

But stealing the thunder from the Dantes couple ay ang AlDub as their moments shine the brightest. And for sure, even beyond Christmas.

Message-wise, mas nakaaantig ang sa Dos. Not only it is current affair-ish, it also takes a peek into the countryside imagery na kung ikaw ay isang dayuhan, you’ll book the first flight para bisitahin ang Pilipinas and enjoy all of its scenic splendor.

May prologue pa kasi ito that speaks of every Pinoy’s resilience sa gitna ng kalamidad o trahedya, truly an inspiring Yuletide—and all year-round—message, capped by Ms. Charo Santos-Concio’s words of optimism a la her Maalaala Mo Kaya?

Kapansin-pansin nga lang that flashing the love sign has become too universal. In most scenes kasi in both station IDs, nagmistulang Kapuso ang mga artista ng Kapamilya with their joined fingers forming the shape of a heart.

Sa bandang huli, love namin ang melody ng Magmahalan Tayo Ngayong Pasko, but it’s the message of love na meron ang Thank You For the Love that pierces the heart more.
