Initially, the receiver of the call thought it was Sarah Lahbati who made an overseas call from Switzerland. Dahil malapit din naman ang aming reporter-friend sa nobya ni Richard Gutierrez, hindi imposibleng the personal call could come from Sarah who, as everyone knows, needs help as well.

“Si Zara po ito, tito… si Zara Lopez (dating miyembro ng Viva Hot Babes),” only then did our reporter-friend na ibang Sarah ‘yon whose voice cracked dahil ang hinihingi palang tulong nito ay may kinalaman sa kanyang anak na na-dengue.

Kung tutuusin, the amount that Zarah needed was insignificant, limang libong piso lang ‘yon.

Ora mismo, after coming out of the church ay naghanap ang reporter ng pinakamalapit na Western Union, sending the exact amount that Zara needed.

Habang ikinukuwento ng aming kaibigan ang kanyang act of charity, we were trying to figure out kung ano ang itsura ni Zara Lopez. Oo nga’t naging byword ang Viva Hot Babes, but only members of the group like Katya Santos, Andrea del Rosario, among others ang rumehistro lang sa aming kamalayan.

Although Zara may not have made it big in showbiz, we cannot help but draw an analogy mula sa kaso naman ni Ms. Bella Flores. Perhaps, kung uso na noon ang mga “Hot Babes”, Tita Bella would sit on the throne.

A primera contravida then and before she met an accident (that caused her mental dementia), bukod-tanging si Tita Bella lang ang maituturing as the most enduring character actress. Yet, the sad refrain kumbaga sa isang awitin is that it seems whatever she was worked for all these years has gone to proverbial waste.

During her time, let’s face it, Tita Bella had her glory days but apparently, not a single trace of those memories remains.

MASASABING TINUKLAW ng suwerte si Kim Komatsu ngayong Year of the Water Snake, on her lap landed her firtst ever lead role sa aabangang afternoon prime ng GMA na Serpentina.

To pilot on March 4, Kim gets her biggest break sa loob ng almost two years na niyang pakikipagbuno sa naturang istasyon.

But little did Kim know na memey-k-apan lang pala siya to prepare her to a bigger challenge na nangyari nitong February 11, kung saan sumailalim siya sa “snake workshop”. The drill required Kim to get familiarized with all the snake species na pinahahawakan sa kanya until she got comfortable with the scaly reptiles.

Pero happy po ako na ako ang napili ng GMA to play the lead role,” over the phone na pagmamalaki ni Kim whose love interests in Serpentina are Enzo Pineda and Kristoffer Martin.
