FRESH from her role as the iconic Bobbie Salazar in Four Sisters Before The Wedding na napanood sa mga streaming platforms, Alexa Ilacad sets her sights back on music with the release of her latest single “Stay Right Here” na isang urban dancepop track mula sa Off The Record label.
Her latest single is a bit mature from her previous single “Love At First Sight” na ini-release last November 2020.
Ayon kay Alexa, naging inspirasyon niya ang role sa Kapamilya series na Init Sa Magdamag para maging confident siya with her kind of music today.
“Actually yes. I have a show right now, yung Init Sa Magdamag, my role there is a very independent woman of today, very liberated, matapang, confident with herself. I am personally not as confident tulad ng role ko do’n but that’s what I’m trying to portray with this new sound, with my music because I think that character helped me a lot.
“With this one, I’m trying to show a different side of me, so I got a bit of inspiration from my character right now. Iba ito do’n sa last single ko na medyo pa-sweet,” paliwanag ng 20-years old singer-actress sa PUSH.
Ibinahagi rin ni Alexa na iba ang fulfillment na nararamdaman niya sa pagiging musician kumpara sa pagiging artista.
“I don’t know how to explain, I don’t know how to differentiate the fulfillment I get, but yes, it’s a different kind of happiness being a musician. I don’t know… I don’t really know how to explain,” naguguluhan niyang reaksyon.
“With acting kasi, it really depends also on the people you’re with, if they commend you on the scene you did or on the performance that you gave, but sometimes people forget we don’t have much time to make chika after the heavy scene, so I think I sleep at night very relax when I think that I’ve done well.
“But with my music, I sleep so energized and on top. Both are the same level of happiness but in different ways… oh my God, it’s so hard to explain.
“Kasi with my music I’m more hands on, I’m more tutok. Kasi sa acting I’m being directed by someone else and following a script, so with music it’s more on my input, my creativity,” dagdag na paliwanag ni Alexa.
“Stay Right Here” will be available on Spotify and all digital streaming platforms starting April 30, 2021.
