Total rewards road safety in Super Tsuper program

TOTAL (PHILIPPINES) Corporation (TPC) recently honored its top performing lorry drivers who have shown commitment to road transport safety and outstanding service in delivering fuel products to clients. Winners of the company’s Super Tsuper program were cited for being ambassadors of road safety. TPC Road Transport and Customer Service Manager Rey Fadullon shares, “We make sure to recognize our partners who are as committed as we are to make more people aware on road safety, not only in terms of following traffic rules and regulations but also observing proper etiquette when behind the wheel. The Super Tsuper program is a success, serving to motivate our lorry drivers and improving our customer service.” Thirty-four year old Michael Calamaya, who is one of the awardees this year, has been a lorry driver for Total, assigned to the Bataan Terminal since 2006. “Sobrang nagpapasalamat po ako sa Total ako ang napiling Super Tsuper. Hindi ko inaakala na ako ang mapipili! Very proud po ako at naipagmamalaki ko ito sa pamilya ko. (I am very grateful for Total that they selected me to be a Super Tsuper. I did not expect that I would be chosen! I take pride in this achievement and I am happy to share this with my family),” says Calamaya. Asked how he prepared, “Para sa akin, sinsigurado ko na sinusundan ko ang mga guidelines—complete ang uniform ko at sinisigurado ko na malinis ang sasakyan, palagi akong nakangiti tuwing biyahe. (For me, I ensure that I always follow the guidelines—I make sure my uniform is complete and that it’s always clean, I am also always smiling when I’m on duty).” As Total is committed in promoting road safety, the company also ensures that the lorry drivers follow traffic rules and that the trucks are in good condition. Calamaya also shares that part of the Super Tsuper guidelines is ensuring that his truck is always in good condition that’s why he regularly inspects his truck and does truck maintenance as well. Top performers are recognized every six months, with overall winners announced at the end of the year. The drivers also take great personal pride in being a Super Tsuper, with many being repeat winners.
