“KC is a learner. Mahaba-haba pa ang kanyang lalakbayin, pero nae-excite ako. Ina-apply niya whatever she learned from the crash course we did. And I told her naman to do whatever she’s comfortable with. So, hindi muna siya ang gagawa ng P.O.V. Kami pa rin ni Kris (Aquino) ‘yun. She will have interviews that belong to her.”

“I will not answer questions about Cristy (Fermin). Magkaibigan na kami sa matagal na panahon. At sa puntong ito, ayoko nang makipag-away. And regarding with the ‘threat’ question, lagi kong sinasabi, now na halos lahat na ‘ata eh, nagiging reporter and paparazzi because of the gadgets available, the world can accommodate three or five more shows. Kami, ako, we do not go onstage thinking if we are threatened. Even your own show is a threat to your work. Each citizen of the world now is a media practitioner. And they are more vulnerable now to what media can do. When you talk about communications, you talk about choices.”

“Because he’s been very naughty, I told him na stay at home na lang muna siya. So, hindi muna siya sumasama sa amin. Hindi muna siya magte-taping for Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo.

“I understood naman ang pag-i-inarte niya that time Kasi, nag-dinner kami in a place na may swimming pool at gusto niyang mag-swimming. But because he was pagod, hindi siyempre ako pumayag. Kaya ayun, to get our attention, nanadya. Hindi ba, akong-ako? Kanino pa ba magmamana? Kaya ngayon, stay at home siya kaya wala siyang ginawa kundi mag-swim nang mag-swim.”

At dahil naman sa kung anu-ano ring kinakalkal na mga personal na mga bagay sa pamilya nila, hindi napigilan ni Kris ang sarili na magbitiw ng isang katagang hindi mo aasahang sasabihin niya.

“Mga walanghiya sila talaga. Kapag Mom ko na ang tinitira at ginagamit nila, that’s the time I really get mad. Gustuhin ko mang magpasensiya at umunawa at intindihin sila, basta if it concerns my Mom at kung anu-ano pa ang ilalabas nila, talagang I go mad.”

“Why should I watch? I don’t even read. And I don’t really care. Sa lahat ng pinakamasasakit nang masasabi about me, ano pa ang ire-react ko?

But am still here, standing!”

  1. O ITO MGA ABNOY NA MAKA NOYNOY ABNOY. ITO NA ANG SINABI NG PINAMAMALAKI NYONG TIME MAGAZINE TUNGKOL KAY NOYNOY ABNOY:

    ISANG BAHAGI LANG ITO:

Noynoy Aquino covers on TIME Magazine April 25 Issue:

“The Next Aquino: Can Noynoy Save The Philippines?”

For the Philippines, Aquino is an unlikely man of the moment. At a rally earlier in the day, tens of thousands had crammed into a stadium to hear the presidential candidate speak. Kris Aquino, his youngest sister and a celebrity talk-show host, revved up the crowd alongside her husband, an equally telegenic basketball star. High-school dance troupes garbed in yellow — the Aquino colors — spun cartwheels on stage. Yet when 50-year-old Noynoy emerged, hunched and bespectacled, amid blaring music and streams of confetti, he cut an awkward figure. Shirt loose, pants baggy and hair thinning, he looked more an abashed computer nerd than the sort of brash, swaggering politician that has become the stock-in-trade in the Philippines.

HA HA HA NOYNOY ABNOY, NOYNOY ABNOY, NOYNOY ABNOY.

ANO BA TALAGA? EH DI ABNORMAL NOYNOY OR ABNOY FOR SHORT.

KUNG WALANG DEPERANSYA SA UTAK YAN, DI PINAG-AGAWAN NA YAN NG MGA BABAE. GETS NYO.

    NAPAKASIMPLENG IPALIWANAG.

  4. Kris is a true person. Siguro truth hurts and she deserved to be mayabang dahil may ipagyayabang dahil ang lahat ng meron sya eh pinaghirapan nya at hindi corrupt or nagpapanggap na mahirap.

    Excerpt from Emil Jurado

    …….

Sadly enough, the Lopez network, with all its influence, has prostituted freedom of the press with its slanted broadcast. Even its anchors are blatantly biased in favor of Liberal Party candidate Senator Benigno Aquino III.

    …..
I can understand the bias of the Lopezes for Noynoy. The late President Cory Aquino gave the network back on a silver platter to them after Edsa 1. No questions asked. Cory also handed over Meralco to the Lopezes. in spite of the fact that the Lopezes already sold it to Kokoy Romualdez, as records show.

Gratitude is good but why prostitute press freedom in the process?

    HACIENDA LUISITA:

And do you also know that the Aquinos, from Noynoy’s great grandfather, Jose Conjuangco, Sr., did not own the much-ballyhooed Hacienda Luisita, and I am going to quote here the widely-read Philippine newspaper, the Philippine Daily Inquirer:

“The Aquinos were dummies of the government. They were given $2.12-million from the Central Bank and P3.98-million from the GSIS to buy Hacienda Luisita, on the condition that the land would be distributed to the farmers in ten years, or by 1968, at the latest….”

Forty-one years later, the Inquirer revealed that Noynoy cited “labor trouble and debts” for the reason not to distribute the land by 1968 under the conditions for his great grandfather’s acquisition of Hacienda Luisita.

“This is a well-known historical fact,” the Inquirer asserted. And it opined that Noynoy’s morality campaign in this election and his family’s goody-goody image is merely “A BIG LIE …”

And his presidential campaign’s “BIGGEST SHAM.”

  8. THE KILLING FIELDS

Seven peasant farmers, who were protesting their take home pay of Php9.50-a-day at the Cojuangco-owned Hacienda Luisita in Tarlac, were murdered in cold blood at the gate of the hacienda, a hail of bullets ensuring that Nov. 16, 2004 will forever live as a day of infamy.

    Private army

With Noynoy Aquino as a member of the security committee at his family’s sugar estate, killed by sniper fire from suspected members of the Cojuangco’s private army were: Jhavie Basilio, Adriano Caballero, Jhune David, Jesus Laza, Juancho Sanchez, Jaime Pastidio and Jessie Valdez.

    Left to die

Some of them could have lived, but hospitals in Cojuangco-controlled Tarlac refused to admit patients from the hacienda. Hundred others sustained wounds, including 27 who were hit by bullets, from the incident now infamously known as the HACIENDA LUISITA MASSACRE.

    The killings continue

But the killings did not stop there! Over a period of 10 months, at least seven more peasant farmers, labor leaders and church ministers – bonded together by their being staunch critics of the family of presidential wannabe Noynoy Aquino – were silenced. Permanently!

    Bloody end

Like the seven martyrs of the Hacienda Luisita Massacre, the following also met bloody end at the hands of known henchmen of Noynoy’s family, just because they want to put an end to the injustices at the hacienda:

Marcelino Beltran (RIP +) Killed on Dec. 8, 2004 as he was celebrating his birthday with his family at their home. A retired army officer turned peasant leader, he was shot before he could testify at the Senate and Congress on Dec. 13 and 14, 2004, on the trajectories of the bullets fired during the Hacienda Luisita Massacre.

Councilor Abelardo Ladera (RIP +) Shot while buying spare car parts on March 3, 2004, a day after he accessed critical documents regarding Luisita’s stock distribution option and Land Use Conversion Plan from the Department of Agrarian Reform. He was killed before he could bring the documents to the Senate and Congress.

Rev. William Tadena (RIP +) Tadena had been lending a sympathetic ear to the plight of Luisita’s peasant farmers and for it was killed on March 13, 2005. A fellow Aglipayan priest in Fr. Jun Flores, who has gone into hiding fearing for his own life, saw a bodyguard of Noynoy shoot Fr. Tadena.

Victor “Tata Ben” Concepcion (RIP +) Remembered for championing the cause of land-tillers at Hacienda Luisita, the 66-year-old secretary general of the Aguman de reng Maglalautang Capampangan, was peppered with bullets on March 17, 2005.

Florante Collante (RIP +) A coordinator of Bayan Muna, Collantes was murdered in his home in Camiling Tarlac on Oct. 15, 2005 for being very vocal against Noynoy and his family on their oppression of farmers.

Ricardo Ramos (RIP +) President of the Luisita Labor group CATLU, Ramos was shot Oct. 25, 2005 as he celebrated the awarding of P8.8 million in wages already worked for by Luisita farmers, but which had been withheld by Noynoy and his family.

Bishop Alberto Ramento (RIP +) Stabbed seven times on Oct. 3, 2006, right at his parish office, Bishop Ramento irked Noynoy and his family for providing moral, spiritual and other support to Luisita farmers. Until now, his killer had not been brought to justice, with the mastermind said to be even gunning for the highest office of the land.

Tirso Cruz (RIP +) A leader of the United Luisita Workers Union, he was killed on March 17, 2006 for opposing the SDO scheme used by Noynoy’s family to exempt the hacienda from land reform coverage.

    Noynoy’s hand

Dead men tell no tales, but those who survive do. In his sworn testimony at the Senate on Jan. 12, 2005, Luisita farmer George Loveland, who was shot with Ernesto Ramos at Luisita’s west gate of Las Haciendas seven days earlier, identified the bodyguards of Noynoy Aquino as their assailants.

    Noynoy ordered shooting

Loveland said Noynoy was there when his bodyguards shot him and Ramos, remembering that Noynoy motioned and muttered to his security before shots rang out. The then Congressman Aquino, was later on heard pitching to people in and around Luisita a “superhighway” that would turn out to be the controversial SCTEX project.

And he wants to be President?

The killing of Father Tadena and the shooting of Loveland and Ramos positively linked Noynoy Aquino to the Hacienda Luisita Massacre and the subsequent killings, shootings and intimidations of farmers. With blood in his hands, how can Noynoy now aspire to be President, not of God-forsaken Luisita, but of the entire country?

He wants to be President? He must be crazy!!! If we vote for him then we are probably the ones who are retarded….

In the 1950s, the onset of the Hukbalahap rebellion led the Spanish owners of Tabacalera to sell Hacienda Luisita and the sugar mill Central Azucarera de Tarlac. Ramon Magsaysay, then president of the Philippines, blocked the sale of the plantation to the eager and wealthy Lopezes of Iloilo. During those times the brothers Fernando Lopez and Eugenio Lopez as well as their cousins were the wealthiest in all of the Visayas Islands, save for a few Chinese Filipino families in Cebu and Leyte. Fearing the Lopezes might become too powerful after already owning Meralco, Negros Navigation, Manila Chronicle, ABS-CBN, various haciendas in Western Visayas and then the nearby PASUMIL consortium in Del Carmen, Pampanga that they purchased from the Americans, the President offered the property to Jose Cojuangco, popularly called “Don Pepe” through Magsaysay protégé and Don Pepe’s son-in-law, Benigno Aquino Jr y Aquino. Magsaysay also knew the Cojuangcos through his wife, Luz, of the prosperous Banzons, an old Chinese Filipino family. Unfortunately, President Ramon Magsaysay died in Mount Manunggal, Cebu in 1957.

The sale was consummated in President Carlos Garcia y Polistico’s term, a close ally of then Senator Ferdinand Marcos and five years from the day President Magsaysay offered the land. The Jose Cojuangcos were wealthy in land and bank holdings and in Philippine pesos. They were not wealthy in United States dollars which was closely regulated then by the Philippine Central Bank. In fact, Don Pepe and his wife Doña Metring were not able to send Don Pepe’s younger brother Eduardo Sr (Danding Cojuangco’s father) to the United States for treatment for the mere fact that they could not exchange their pesos to dollars. Eduardo Sr or Don Endeng Lalake later died of kidney failure.

The Jose Cojuangcos acquired the property in 1958 through a loan from the Government Service Insurance System and a dollar loan from the Manufacturers Trust Company of New York, which was guaranteed by the Central Bank of the Philippines, with consent from Miguel Cuaderno, its governor. Don Pepe also reduced his stake in the Paniqui Sugar Mills, though he and his cousins still managed it on behalf of his aunt, Ysidra Cojuangco, the matriarch. Hacienda Luisita was the largest investment he ever made.

With the ink barely dry, he appointed not his eldest Pedro but his son-in-law Benigno Aquino Jr y Aquino to administer the hacienda. Don Pepe and Ninoy introduced an almost social welfare state: free medicines and check up, scholarships to colleges, free education, free food and equitable shares to the harvest, free child care and nutrition, free burials, a village with housing earmarked for the farmers, even free gasoline to the tractoras. Like the Paniqui Sugar Mills, not a single workers’ strike was instigated during their administration. Don Pepe barely made any money from the Hacienda Luisita. Understanding that the value of the Luisita is in the farmers who till it, he chose to rehabilitate the Filipinos who before were almost slaves under the Tabacalera. He was able to sustain these losses due in part of his other more money making investments in the Bank of Commerce and First Manila Management which owned the Pantranco buses and the Mantrade group.

    ‘Tomcat’ recalls Noynoy
    By Jojo Robles

Readers of this column know that I rarely surrender my space to others in the form of extensive passages quoted verbatim. But today I willingly cede my allotted quota of words, editing only for style considerations, to someone who calls himself “Tomcat,” who recently wrote the following open letter (via Facebook) to leading presidential candidate Noynoy Aquino:

    Dear Noynoy:

We were classmates at the Ateneo and I have no doubt that you would remember me even if we were not close. Hint: I was one of those who ribbed you about the low grade that Father Kreutz gave you in math because you could never seem to get your fractions right. Remember going ballistic over that ribbing? [Reverend Wiliam “Bill” Kreutz, SJ, is a long-time Ateneo teacher from New York who founded the Jesuit Volunteers of the Philippines—JR. All subsequent bracketed phrases are mine.]

Anyway, reading the psychological report that was posted on the Internet a few days ago certainly made me remember you. I heard you say on the news that the report was fake but you did admit that there were some things in it that were true. “Part truths” I think were your exact words. It fascinated me enough to want to read the report carefully to check out which were those things that were true.

Obvious things first, those facts that any of our classmates can confirm if asked. One of these is, as the report says, you have a labile disorder. This is whole truth. Even Father Gorospe would be distracted by your drooling during our oral exams. [The late Reverend Vitaliano Gorospe, SJ, was connected for a long time with the Ateneo Theology Department.] Father Ferriols, who made a point of showing he didn’t like you, would make side comments about it that led your classmates to give you the nickname “Cooper,” a reference to Cupertino school where we would teach Catechism to retarded children. I, however, never called you Cooper. [Reverend Roque Ferriols, SJ, taught Filipino Philosophy at Ateneo.]

The report says that you have a “major depressive disorder.” Well, I honestly don’t know if that is true. What I do know is that in school you were very temperamental and had sudden mood swings. Many of our classmates can attest to witnessing scenes like this.

The report said that you used to go with your mom to see Dr. Manuel Escudero. That is a whole truth. I remember seeing you at Tito Maning’s high-rise apartment on Roxas Boulevard when we were still kids. Tito Maning was a consultant with the WHO here in Manila but he was also a psychiatrist who treated only the high society people in Manila. Even Imelda Marcos was his patient. Unfortunately, so was my mom who suffered from insecurities due to my dad’s numerous infidelities.

Tito Maning’s wife, Tita Jo, was a very good artist who had a couple of exhibits of her work before they left Manila for good a few years after martial law was declared. They lived in Topeka, Kansas. After they left, I kept a correspondence for a while with their very cute daughter Nina who I am sure you remember. I had such a crush on her. Maybe you did too. She used to talk to us “little folk” in the sala of their apartment while the “big folk” would lock themselves in the room and discuss “big folk” matters. She wanted to go to ballet school or some dance school which she did, I think, and I eventually lost track of her.

About your smoking marijuana, I also can’t say if that is wholly true. What I do know is that you would try to tag along with a group of students that would hang out with Ma’am Gloria Arroyo. [Yes, President Arroyo herself.] Mga students niya sa Economics. She was always surrounded by bright and handsome students kaya hindi ka pinapansin. Pati si Ma’am Placer, she never gave you the time of day kasi people said you were “medyo weird” and your grades were mababa per her standards.

Pero, you still tried to hang out with those guys. Trying hard to belong ba. I know those guys would drink na kasama pa si Miss Rosales na pag lasing na, kumakanta ng Spanish songs in Spanish. They would drink dozens of bottles of beer at Shakey’s Katipunan because Mrs. Ramos (our Spanish teacher in case you don’t remember) owned the restaurant. This group was also known to also smoke joints in the college auditorium, up in the closed space where the spotlights were. So, if you were hanging out with them then, you were probably also smoking marijuana too.

The report said you had a flight attendant girlfriend. This is another whole truth. I will not mention her name here to protect her but she was a PAL stewardess. I found out about this because I was on a flight with Father Samson [probably Ateneo de Davao president Reverend Antonio S. Samson] once and she was the one who seated us. When she found out we were from Ateneo, she introduced herself and said she was the girl friend of an Atenean and mentioned your name. Father Samson then asked jokingly if you were a good boyfriend to her. She shrugged and said you were “okay” but she was bothered because you were “too conservative.” You didn’t even like to kiss her daw because you were saving her for the wedding night. And you insisted that she dress very conservatively. Jealous boyfriend ka daw. No wonder that relationship ended. Maybe that’s why you got so depressed over it.

About the report. I know that [Ateneo-based Jesuit psychologist Reverend] Tito Caluag is one of your best friends. His group of “friends” are some of the richest and most influential people in the country today. I know that you used to frequently visit his home. He hosts get-togethers where things that are too esoteric for me are the subjects of discussion. At one time, this group of yours even discussed the ousting of [Ateneo president] Father [Bienvenido] Nebres because Tito Caluag had his own ideas on how Ateneo should be run. Maybe your closeness to him is why he was the one you went to when you were depressed and why he was the one who handled your case and signed your psychological report. To keep things quiet.

But I confess I actually don’t know. I do know that Tito Caluag was at one time your sister Kris’ father confessor. He may not be a very trustworthy father confessor, though, because many have heard him say aloud that “walang ginawa si Kris Aquino dito sa Ateneo kundi habulin si Alvin Patrimonio at mag-emote sa quadrangle”.

Anyway, yun muna. Good luck on your presidential run. If you become president of the Philippines, that would be really something, huh? From “Cooper” to “Mr. President” when brighter and more scheming Ateneans like Mar Roxas and Dick Gordon have not been able to make it is an achievement that Ripley should feature.

    Your old friend,

    Tomcat

WHEW, THE PERSON WHO WROTE THIS MUST REALLY BE AN ATENESTA AND KNEW NOYNOY VERY WELL. HE MENTIONED WELL-KNOWN NAMES. HOW CAN PEOPLE AROUND HIM LET OR ENCOURAGED HIM TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT. I MUST ALSO SAY THAT SOME POLITICIANS KNEW OR NOTICED SOME OF THESE PSYCHOTIC BEHAVIOR AND STILL ALLOWED HIM TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT. THESE FRIENDS, FAMILIES, POLITICAL ALLIES OF NOYNOY HAVE SUCH LOW REGARD AND RESPECT FOR OUR COUNTRY BY EVEN YIELDING TO THIS EXPLOITATION OF THE FILIPINO PEOPLE.

    Tomcat

    Emil jurado
I have been asked by friends why I’m so hard on Liberal Party standard bearer Senator Noynoy Aquino. Why do I often criticize him? To be honest, I have nothing personal against Noynoy, although I cannot forget what happened during the incumbency of his late mother, President Cory.

I cannot forget the plunder of Kamaganak Inc., of which I was a victim. Erectors Inc., a company founded by the late transportation minister Totoy Dans and of which I was a founding director, was one of the 39 firms given on a silver platter to Cory’s in-laws. I never heard of my investments again.

I also cannot forget how vindictive the Aquino government was, going after everything and anything that smelled of the Marcoses. Thus, after several years, Cory had nothing to show for her performance.

In fact, while many say she is the icon of democracy, I say instead she was a mere beneficiary of the 1986 Edsa People Power Revolution.

Noynoy now says that if he gets elected President, he would review all infrastructure contracts of the Arroyo administration. Santa Banana, here we go again!

I say Noynoy is truly his mother’s little boy. He campaigns under the shadow of his famous parents. He shows the tendency to run a vindictive and regressive government.

  16. KahitSinoHwagLangNoynoy, says:

Abnoy’s camp do nothing but remind voters of his dead parents, what his parents did and how corrupt the other candidates are. Pray tell, why can’t they extoll his achievements like what candidates are supposed to do.

Ano ang achievements ng Abnoy na yan? Ano? Ano ang nagawa nya? He was born in one of the country’s richest families – he had the means, opportunity and network. Ano ginawa? Wala. Wala. Wala. He never had the initiative nor the genuine desire to help our country. If he did, dapat ubos ang airtime nya from enumerating these achievements. Instead ubos ang airtime nya from pointing fingers and reminding us of his dead parents.

Now he runs for president, after half a decade of living his pampered and sheltered life, talking as if the presidency is his birth right! Kapal di ba?

The presidency is not a birthright Abnoy. You never did anything for the past 50 years to make you worthy of it. Go back to playing RPG games till 5am in the morning. It’s what you do best. You have no business running our country.

  17. Villar, wife, firms sued for plunder, land grab
    On February 26, 2010,
In C5 controversy, Villar, in the News.OMBUDSMAN CASE FILED OVER C5 EXTENSION PROJECT
Villar, wife, firms sued for plunder, land grab
    The Daily Tribune

The first court case involving plunder and land grabbing against Nacionalista Party (NP) standard bearer Sen. Manuel Villar Jr. over alleged personal gains he made from the C5 road extension project was filed with the Ombudsman last Feb. 2 by businesswoman and civic leader Mary Lou Bhalwart-Estrada.

The controversial project was the subject of a Senate peer investigation on Villar that resulted in a Senate committee of the whole (Scow) report released last Jan. 18, finding Villar guilty of unethical conduct and ordered him to reimCburse the government more than P6 billion which was the supposed amount of his and his companies’ improper gains from the project.

The Ombudsman case also included Villar’s wife, Las Piñas Rep. Cynthia Villar, and their two sons, Manuel Paolo and Mark, and Villar’s real estate companies Britanny Corp., Adelfa Properties Inc. and Masaito Development Corp.

Estrada, president and CEO of Rhema International Livelihood Foundation Inc. (Rhema), has accused Villar and the others of alleged property-transgression in the C5 extension road project docketed under Reference No. C-10-0176 dated Feb. 2.

Estrada’s spokesman Jonathan Navea, chairman of Damayan Alliance for Social Justice, said the plunder and landgrabbing case stemmed from the C5’s Las Piñas-Parañaque road extension project that passed through properties Estrada said she owns through Rhema Livelihood Foundation Inc.

“The compensation of the transgressed properties and the right of way (RoW) went to Villar instead of Estrada, the real owner,” Navea said.

Navea said the property that was seized from her cost almost P200 million in real estate value. Estrada said proof of her ownership over the property was the Deed of Donation originated from TCT Land Title no. 8037 with Segregated Plan No. 25211 owned by a certain Fortunato Santiago, which was then occupied by Rhema’s beneficiaries.

Estrada also accused Villar of alleged landgrabbing when a group of armed men forced themselves with a bulldozer bragging in vernacular: “tauhan kami ni Villar” (we are men of Villar) when they were accosted during the property seizure late last year.

Estrada alleged that Villar’s men threatened Rhema’s guards who questioned their forcible entry, demanding the guards and tenants: “alis na kayo dyan, walang tututol baka malagot pa kayo! Utos ito ni Senator Villar at wala kayong magagawa.” (Leave this place, nobody protests or you’re in trouble, we are under orders from Sen. Villar).

The Senate inquiry on the C5 extension project stemmed from revelations made in the Senate by Sen. Jamby Madrigal.

Similar landgrabbing incidents were further provided by the Senate Records through its Senate Reports containing data on the other Villar’s alleged landgrabbing activities violating Sections 12 and 14, Article VI of the Philippine Constitution.

Estrada said Rhema is a business and livelihood opportunity company benefitting countless less privileged Filipino families nationwide.

“Rhema’s vision includes: zero poverty, financial independence and community development,” she said.

The case filed by Estrada quoted extensively from the Scow report, including a portion that stated Villar, his family and corporations received unjustly and illegally the compensation of P158 million and unashamedly claimed a balance of unpaid Road Right of Way of P59 million as of November, 2007.

“(Villar), his wife, sons and corporations have no valid torrens titles for the lots submitted for compensations. The titles (TCTs) are nothing but spurious and/or mere patent, the only true owner is the holder of a valid torrens title with OCT, judicial decree, and approved,” according to the suit.

That being in the realty business, both Senator Villar and his wife and sons know too well what a valid torrens title is and yet knowingly and fraudulently the Villar family and their corporations took the law for granted and maliciously and greedily claimed and had themselves paid compensations for what belongs to Rhema International Livelihood Foundation Inc. by virtue of a deed of donation, according to the complaint.

Estrada is not in any way related to former President Joseph Estrada, as his real name is Joseph Ejercito, and used the name Estrada for the movies in which he had starred.

  20. How Villar built business empire with deceit, corruption: ex-lawyer

    By Aries Rufo

    First of 3 Parts

MANILA, Philippines – Octogenarian Maxima Policarpio had spent most of her life in the mountains of Norzagaray, a small town in Bulacan, near the foothills of the Sierra Madre. She had hoped to spend the twilight of her life there in peace and quiet, tending a tiny vegetable garden and surrounded by fruit-bearing trees she had planted many years ago.

Last February, despite her age, she left the comfort of her town and braved Quezon City’s noise, pollution and confusion to join dozens of Norzagaray farmers seeking attention to the imminent loss of their ancestral lands. “I am here to protect my land. I may be old, but I still have rights.”

“We are up against an influential person,” she said.

That person is presidential aspirant and billionaire Senator Manuel Villar Jr.

Represented by a counsel, the farmers detailed how they lost their ancestral lands, in the blink of an eye, to companies connected with Villar.

They also told of harassment efforts to force them to leave their lands.

“Before, we would wake up and see all those crops pulled out from the soil. They would do it at night. We were helpless. Some of them were armed. What would you do? We would just put back the plants,” Inocencia Pascual, 67, said.

The harassment, however, stopped as the election season neared. And they knew it is only a respite. “Tapos kami pag nanalo sya (We’re finished if he wins),” Pascual said.

    Contested land

Court records show that the contested land in Norzagaray is supposedly now the property of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas after it was mortgaged in 2001 by two companies where Villar’s wife, Las Piñas Rep. Cynthia Villar, has a stake.

The two companies–Capitol Development Bank (now Optimum Development Bank) and Manila Brickworks–defaulted on a P1.5 billion loan it secured from BSP in April 1998 following the financial crisis that hit Asian countries. The money was allegedly spent to finance the House Speakership bid that year of Villar, who was then a congressman.

Yet, documents gathered by Newsbreak show that the two companies acquired possession of the ancestral lands through fraud and manipulative layering scheme.

It appears that the Villars brought to life the defunct Manila Brickworks out of nowhere to act as the original owner of the contested land. Fake Transfer Certificates of Titles (TCTs) were produced in connivance with the Malolos Registry of Deeds to show possession of property.

Court records in Bulacan show that Manila Brickworks was originally owned by Puyat Enterprises and had claimed possession of the property in the 70s. Poultry houses were put up by Puyat Enterprises but abandoned the area after some time.

After years of inactivity, Manila Brickworks resurfaced in 1998 with new incorporators that interlocked with those of Capitol Development Bank.

Capitol Bank, which had financial problems attributed to the financial crisis, eventually sold select assets to Yuchengco-led RCBC Savings Bank to pay off some obligations, then was renamed Optimum Development Bank. (Initially, we reported that Capitol Bank was closed. It was not. – Eds)

In June 2001, Optimum signed a deed of real estate mortgage over the questioned property in favor of BSP to secure Capitol and Manila Brickworks’ unpaid loans.

The conveyance of land titles, coupled with fake ones, from one alleged owner to another, creates different layers that were used as an argument to legitimize property acquisition.

This has been the standard operating procedure of Villar’s lawyers and companies to acquire government and previously awarded lands, according to a lawyer formerly employed by the Nacionalista Party bet.

    Pandora’s box of testimony

The man who turned his back on Villar
Lawyer Restituto Mendoza is seeking restitution for his sins of commission and omission as a former employee of Senator Manuel Villar Jr’s. housing empire.

Mendoza has filed a labor complaint before the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) for his alleged illegal dismissal after refusing the game that Villar’s senior officers play.

In his complaint, he wrote that he turned a blind eye and deaf ears to the mischief that his employers were getting into and how they get out of trouble. But an unexpected twist of events made him see the light.

He is waging a lonely battle against the billionaire and his senior officers.

His labor complaint is also a tell-all account on how the businesses of Villar acquired land for property development. Read more

The Norzagaray land case is just one of the many legal cases faced by Villar’s real estate empire, which was spawned by the production and sale of affordable houses.

Interviews with different sources and documents show his companies have been fending off legal disputes, mostly land grabbing cases, like the Norzagaray case.

In 2004, Villar hired Atty. Restituto Mendoza to handle problematic raw land cases for Household Development Corp., one of the firms under his real estate empire.

Mendoza has a pending complaint before the National Labor Relations Commission for illegal dismissal. Named respondents were Villar, his flagship real estate firm Vista Land and Lifescapes Inc., Casa Regalia, Adelfa Properties and lawyers and officers of the companies. Newsbreak obtained a copy of the complaint, including other documents.

In the labor case, Mendoza opened the Pandora’s box of irregularities of Villar’s businesses, practices and ethics. It was a tell-all testimony, bordering on violating the lawyer-client privilege, as he accused Villar of bribery, corruption, deceit and fraud in rebuilding his empire from bankruptcy.

Mendoza charged Villar on the ground that he is well aware of the practices of the firms’ senior officers—from paying off government officials and judges to faking titles—to skirt potential legal issues. Mendoza said Villar is a hands-on manager, supposedly even concerned about where to put trash cans in the subdivision projects.

Newsbreak sought to corroborate Mendoza’s serious allegations, which included duping another land developer, Ayala Land, and an alleged attempt to bribe Customs officials to release an undervalued crane imported by his company, MGS Corp. (Details in Part 3 of the series, to be published on April 14.) We found some corroborative documents and information to back up Mendoza’s claims.

Ayala Land, which got questionable titles as in exchange for a previous P300 million loan from a Villar firm, has yet to reply to our query as of this posting. (Read: Imus Estate land key to Villar-Ayala deal)

Customs officials, on the other hand, provided data of the botched importation. (Details in Part 3)

    Violation of lawyer-client relationship

Villar’s chief legal officer, Ma. Nalen Rosero-Galang, who has been countering the land grabbing complaints hurled against Villar since the campaign began, dismissed Mendoza’s stories and narration as “all lies.” In an interview with Newsbreak, Galang said she is “shocked of Mendoza’s allegations.”

Galang pointed out that Mendoza took five years to come out and expose the unethical practices of Villar’s businesses.

“I would have wanted to ignore him so as not to dignify his claims,” Galang said in an interview. Besides, she added that Mendoza’s claims would not have been admissible in court since “it violates the lawyer-client relationship.”

“Actually I pity him, since no one would want to hire him as a lawyer after this,” she added.

We also sought to interview Mendoza, but he begged off, saying his complaint would suffice. Mendoza was dismissed in May last year and filed his complaint in August.

    The C-5 controversy

In his complaint, Mendoza mentioned some of the properties that benefitted from the controversial C5 road extenstion project. The road traversed through 50-52 hectares of Villar’s property holdings.

Villar’s peers in the Senate conducted ethics committee hearings. In a report, the senators found Villar guilty of conflict of interest when he supposedly benefited from the P6.96 billion road project. A public works feasibility study stated that Villar conceived and funded the project.

Mendoza provided the context in the arrangement between two real estate properties associated with Villar. Masaito Development Corp and Adelfa Properties supposedly swapped properties affected by the C5 road extension.

Based on documents submitted by Mendoza to the NLRC, it was Villar’s Adelfa Properties that initiated the arrangement with Masaito. Adelfa then claimed the bulk of expropriation proceeds from the Masaito property.

The agreement stated Masaito would only get only P7 million while Adelfa would get the remainder, amounting to P15 million.

A total of P168.1 million was paid by the government for the right of way involving Villar’s properties while only P22 million for non-Villar properties.

And yet, based on Mendoza’s claims on the Masaito agreement, through careful planning and foresight, Villar even got proceeds from his supposed non-properties.

Why would Masaito agree to swap properties with Adelfa if it would be paid for the right of way anyway? Was government informed about the swap or was there an attempt to cloak it through internal arrangement?

    Internal arrangement

A source familiar with the case said that Villar’s senior officers had anticipated the road extension would pass through the Masaito properties. The properties were raw lands at that time and would have commanded low zonal valuation.

Yet, through connections in the DPWH and the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Masaito property was valued at P30,000 per square meter, a “unique” situation that Adriano told the Senate since it was the only property that commanded that high price.

In the Senate probe, former revenue district officer Carmelita Bacod admitted that the valuation was “grossly disadvantageous to the government.”

The source explained that Masaito knew it would only get a lower zonal valuation and thus, lower payment for its properties, if only government would have its way. Entering into an agreement would be a win-win situation for both Adelfa and Masaito—the former gets a portion of the right of way payment without essentially losing with its property while the latter gets the bulk of the proceeds.

To facilitate the agreement, Masaito and Adelfa signed a memorandum of undertaking (MOU) where they agreed to open a joint bank account at the Landbank where expropriation proceeds would be deposited. Adelfa president Jerry Navarette and Masaito president Joseph Wang would be the joint signatories.

After the first tranche of P22 million has been deposited, of which P7 million would given to Masaito, Adelfa would assume “sole right” of the remainder of the proceeds, the MOU stated. Navarrete would then be the sole signatory of the Landbank account.

Mendoza said it was the C5 controversy that shattered his respect of Villar. He recalled that he was the one who drafted the Masaito agreement upon hearing Senator Jamby Madrigal mentioning the company. “Evidently, Senator Villar was not telling the truth when he had been consistently denying in public that he and his companies never received a single centavo from the C-5 road extension project,” Mendoza said.

In drafting the Masaito-Adelfa agreement, Mendoza said he “unknowingly had been an instrument of corruption in what is now the C5 road scandal.”

In his Feb. 2 speech before the Senate to rebut the ethics, Villar maintained that he did not financially benefit from the C5 project. “Wala po akong ninakaw sa kaban ng bayan. Wala po akong kasalanan, wala pong anomalya sa C5 project at hindi po ako nakinabang,” Villar said. – With reports and additional research from Althea Teves and Purple Romero, abs-cbnnews.com/Newsbreak

  21. ” THE PURITY OF CORY” part 2. YONG MR. CLEAN NA TINATAWAG NI EMIL JURADO DITO AY SI NOYNOY AQUINO

A Legacy of Greed and Betrayal
    By Emil Jurado

Arillo’s book is well-researched but I still have a few stories of my own that I’d like to add.

Once, an Aquino Cabinet member came out with a report that a Cory kin, together with a Kapampangan Customs broker and a spouse of a former senator, were involved in smuggling activities, specifically containers full of Mercedes Benz cars. Oldtimers at Customs are aware of this.

When this Cabinet member handed the report to Cory, she reportedly just browsed over it and then put it aside. The same Cabinet man was so disgusted that he resigned, but Cory prevailed upon him to accept another Cabinet portfolio.

There was also the takeover of some 37, I repeat 37 corporations, suspected to be that of Kokoy Romualdez, brother-in-law of the late dictator, by the in-laws of Cory.

I know this because one of the corporations taken over was Erestores Inc., a structural steel company. It was founded by the late Marcos’ Minister of Transportation Totoy Dans, who was close to Imeldific.

For the record, I was one of the incorporators of the company. I was founding director. That’s why I knew it all.

There was also the takeover of a motor and vehicle corporation with a license to import British Range Rovers and Land Rovers. The in-laws of Cory used this license to import Simba armored cars for the Armed Forces despite recommendations that they were inferior to US-made armored vehicles.

I recall that when I started to expose this anomaly, I was approached by the PR man of Cory’s in-laws. I was invited to go to London, all expenses paid for, to visit the Simba plant. I refused.

And then there was this sweetheart deal between Cory and Shell that exempted Shell from income tax payments in the multi-billion Malampaya project off Palawan. This still holds true today and the amount involved is P70 billion, according to records.
Cory was said to be very close to the then-Shell president who showered her with attention and flowers daily.

A legacy, indeed, of greed and betrayal. And Mr. Clean thinks this legacy will be his ticket to Malacañang?

  23. I never like Villar even before Aquino decided to run for the Presidency. There is something about Villar that is just not right. He seems to be a very shady person.

When Ondoy typhoon struck Metro Manila, he distributed goods to the victims but with a huge name of him in front of the cellophane used. Indirectly campaigning as well which I don’t feel sincere with his help.

  24. That is so upsetting, why is Villar running for the Presidency, when he knows he is so corrupt. The more will he make himself rich, like the Arroyos and Marcoses. They have enough what more do they need. They need to give aid to the poor people in the Phil. I worked in the govt for 13 years and there were so many temptations but I did not let myself be corrupted by the position. Now I can sleep well at night. That is the difference between third world countries and the US. The govt here is fairly honest, efficient.

    • the main problem of our country is corruption- it’s not our economy. no matter how good your leader is in business or how he got his degree in economics, it’s still useless if he himself is corrupt.

vote for someone who does not have a record or who is not questioned about issues relating to graft and corruption, and vote-buying.

      I’m also voting for Aquino-Roxas.

  25. Walang Hiya talaga yang si Villar. Magnanakaw!!!

  32. Can Manny Villar buy the 2010 presidential election?

AS I WRECK THIS CHAIR By William M. Esposo (The Philippine Star) Updated February 04, 2010 12:00 AM

The January 21–24 SWS poll which was sponsored by BusinessWorld showed the top five presidential candidates with these ratings: Aquino – 42%; Villar – 35%; Joseph Estrada – 13%; Gilbert Teodoro – 4%; Richard Gordon – 2% and Bro. Eddie Villanueva – 2%.

The Pulse Asia January 22 – 26 survey which was released yesterday to media had a different tale to tell with the top six presidential candidates rating as follows: Aquino – 37%; Villar – 35%; Estrada – 12%; Teodoro – 5%; Villanueva – 2% and Gordon – 1%.

Despite the big drop in the Pulse Asia survey, Noynoy Aquino continues to be the man to beat. To appreciate this better, one must remember that when Joseph Estrada won as president in 1998, it was with a 38% vote total which was already considered a landslide victory.

Aquino will be expected to refocus his campaign. Even when playing cellar dwelling teams, the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA encounter scoring dips in the course of a basketball game and are forced to adjust their game plan. It must be noted that it was only in mid-January when Aquino has really been defining his presidency. The effects of these inputs, especially his well received performance before the Captains of Industry at the Makati Business Club last month, should be reflected in the next surveys.

With over 48 million qualified and registered 2010 voters, we can expect that around 40 million will vote in the May elections. That is a safe assumption considering the intensity and excitement that this campaign has generated with the last minute entry of Aquino. With an assumed base of 40 million voters, a 1% winning margin translates to easily 400,000 votes. A 7% margin (SWS stat) over second placer Manny Villar translates to a winning margin of 2.8 million votes, an awesome lead.

Manny Villar has been spending since November 2009 as if he inherited Ali Baba’s hoard. A veteran ad man tracked Villar’s television ad spending by getting the number of placements from a monitoring firm and equating these placements with known airtime negotiated cost per spot. The tracking report showed that Villar already spent around P670 million for 2009 plus around P68 million for January 1-9, 2010 alone.

That is over P700 million that Villar had spent so far, per the ad tracking report. With that volume of TV advertising which was estimated to have generated over 30,000 gross rating points (GRP) in 2009 via around 2,500 minutes of advertising and around 2,500 GRPs via around 263 minutes of advertising for January 1-9, 2010 (in the ad world, we are ecstatic to generate 200 GRPs within a month) – it’s surprising that Villar has not overtaken Aquino.

What happens to Villar’s campaign, which is TV advertising propelled, when the official campaign period limits all presidential candidates to only a total of 120 minutes each for the entire campaign period? That effectively removes his advantage in advertising budget. Where he used to outgun Aquino by an easily 4 to 1 ratio, they will now be competing on an even playing field.

Can Manny Villar sustain his over 30% ratings in the face of the Ethics Case scandal hounding him? If the presidential race will narrow to a choice between Aquino and Villar, Villar would be extremely handicapped. Won’t voters see that as a choice between Mr. Spotty versus Mr. Clean?

There is no real corruption issue against Aquino. His rivals are trying to concoct some but people easily spot falsehoods, especially when these issues only emerge during an election campaign and are being leveled against a frontrunner.

Villar has injected extraordinary inputs that we normally see only during the final stages of the presidential campaign. His advertising spending since November must have easily surpassed the total campaign media spending of the other candidates.

He even had a questionable TV testimonial from comedian Dolphy – questionable because many doubt if Dolphy really knew Villar to say those things he uttered in the Villar TV commercial. When Estrada was asked how come Dolphy endorsed Villar instead of him (Estrada and Dolphy go a long way back in the movie industry), Estrada simply laughed it off and said that Dolphy was only making a living. With so many dependents relying on him, Dolphy is now on the tail end of his earning capacity.

Villar has been extremely lucky in that his other rivals are all busy ganging up on Aquino and are hardly attacking him despite his vulnerabilities. Attacking and getting points from one who is vulnerable to being perceived as Mr. Spotty is the much easier marketing endeavor compared to the previous attempt to get points from one already widely perceived as Mr. Clean. In such an equation, there is a better return on investment in attacking Manny Villar instead of Noynoy Aquino.

The Senate Majority Report on Villar’s Ethics Case is very damaging to Manny Villar, especially in this election when voters fervently want to get rid of corruption and plunder. Winnie Monsod did a very good assessment of that report in her column last Saturday. Amando Doronila called it a damning report against Villar.
Unlike the fabricated issues against Noynoy Aquino, there is a very well documented case of corruption against Manny Villar. And each day, many other Villar issues are beginning to surface.

  33. Madrigal calls Villar ‘evil,’ ‘corrupt’

    ON EVE OF SENATE FACE-OFF:
    Madrigal calls Villar ‘evil,’ ‘corrupt’

MANILA, Philippines – Had she not joined the presidential race, Senator Ma. Ana Consuelo “Jamby” Madrigal would be supporting the candidacy of either Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III or environmentalist Jesus Nicanor “Nick” Perlas.

“Definitely not Manny Villar, who is corrupt,” and an “evil candidate,” Madrigal told the Philippine Daily Inquirer on Tuesday.

The independent presidential candidate strongly believes Villar, the Nacionalista Party standard-bearer, “will really be a big disaster for the country.”

Madrigal referred to what she called Villar’s “arrogance of power and money.” “He thinks he can buy everything, including Malacañang,” she emphasized.

“Just to make sure that the country is not put in the evil hands of Villar, I would vote Noynoy,” Madrigal said.

Madrigal described Aquino, the Liberal Party presidential bet, as a “gentleman.”

“But Nic Perlas would be closest to my platform with regards to the environment. He is an environmental crusader. He also has a spiritual basis which I believe in,” she noted.

Madrigal also called Aquino “one of my friends” in the Senate, along with Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and the other stalwarts of the “Liberal group” – Senators Manuel “Mar” Roxas, Aquino’s running mate, and Rodolfo “Pong” Biazon. During the 2007 senatorial polls, the lady senator backed the candidacy of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

Her brief description of the other presidential candidates: Former president Joseph “Erap” Estrada is “charming;” the administration’s Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro Jr., “serious;” Senator Richard Gordon, “superman in the sense that **** has such energy to do everything, whether you take it as positive or negative;” Eduardo “Brother Eddie” Villanueva is an “evangelist and I would say, he would continue to evangelize;”

John Carlos “JC” de los Reyes is “sincere, but he’s still media-shy…Nanginginig ‘yung boses niya sa debate [His voice shakes during debates];” Vitallano “Dodong” Acosta is “N.A. [not available], no comment…I don’t know him at all.”

When interviewed, Madrigal said, “Personally, I have nothing against Senator Manny Villar… I don’t know him well enough in the intimate side of his personality. However, what I am against is the alleged crimes I perceive him to have committed as evidenced by 900 pieces of evidence in the Senate Committee of the Whole report [on the C-5 road project controversy],” she said.

“Galit ako sa mga taong corrupt [I am angry at people who are corrupt]…Now after five months, the people are beginning to understand that their money was used by a so-called billionaire to further enrich himself to buy the presidency, to buy Malacañang,” Madrigal said.

Madrigal said Villar “should not hate me. He should hate the fact that because he was arrogant, he did not divest himself and because he was arrogant, he did not think anyone would dare go against him.” [Madrigal was referring to Adelfa Properties, a company owned by Villar, which had right-of-way deals in the C-5 road project that was the subject of the Senate Committee of the Whole investigation.]

“He had wanted to have lunch with me several times. That’s when he felt I was going to file the ethics committee report, which did not favor him. But I never agreed,” she disclosed.

Madrigal reiterated her call for Villar to resign “for bringing disgrace to the Senate’s integrity because of his masterminding the C-5 corruption.”

“That is, if he has any shred of delicadeza left,” she emphasized.

Madrigal lashed at “Villar’s lackeys in the Senate” for attempting to unseat Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile and install a “puppet Senate president” who could control the national canvassing of votes in favor of their evil candidate, a la GMA [President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo].”

“Calls by Senators [Alan Peter] Cayetano and [Aquilino] Pimentel for Enrile to resign border on the absurd and insane. The truth is, Villar wants to stop the Senate report censuring him for his role in the C-5 scam, which may lead to plunder charges,” she said.

Madrigal dismissed views that Enrile, a reelectionist whose current term as senator would expire on June 30, 2010, should give way to a senator with a term until 2013, to avoid a possible presidential succession crisis in case of failed elections (the Senate president is always in the line of succession in case of a vacancy in the presidency).

“The Constitutional vacuum argument [of the Villar group] is merely an alarmists’ cover for what seems to be Villar’s intention to cheat and manipulate the canvassing of the May election results,” Madrigal said.

She also defended her choice of words during a face-off with Villar’s allies last week. “Now, when I say you are part of the Villar Express and the choo-choo train, I don’t think those are swear words, unlike their personal attempts to hit back at me. They said wala na silang magawa sa amin kaya personalan na lang at hindi na issue ang pag-uusapan [they could no longer stop us so they hit us personally and forget the issues].”

On her calling, Villar a coward, Madrigal said it was “better to tell the truth than to be a hypocrite.”

“He’s a coward because he’s not facing the Senate,” she added.

Enrile had expressed confidence that Villar would end up in jail should the Senate report on the C-5 scandal be brought to court and the case handled by a good prosecutor.

The same report found Villar to have engaged in unethical conduct in connection with the C-5 project, which benefited his real estate companies.

It seeks to censure Villar and demand the return of some P6 billion to the government.

The report will be taken up on Wednesday in the Senate, said Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri.

Marcos family formalizes support for Manny Villar

The children of the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos on Friday formalized their support for the May 2010 bid of Senator Manuel Villar Jr. as the once mighty Kilusang Bagong Lipunan (KBL) entered into a coalition with the presidential hopeful’s Nacionalista Party.

Ilocos Norte Rep. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said the KBL reached its decision to join Villar after much consultation and debate within the party.

“These harried times demand painful decisions – a choice between friends and allies, amongst those who have borne the fight of the opposition throughout the years,” Bongbong said. “And we choose for our president, the Honorable Manny Villar of the Nacionalista Party.”

Former First Lady Imelda Marcos was not around during the forging of alliance, but Bongbong said he has consulted the matter with members of the family.

Bongbong will be running under the NP’s senatorial slate, although he is also included as a guest candidate in the senatorial line-up of former president Joseph Estrada, who will also be seeking the presidency next year. [See: Bongbong a guest candidate in Erap’s senatorial slate]

Incidentally, former president Marcos used to be an NP member before he founded the KBL in 1978.

Senator Benigno “Simeon” Noynoy Aquino III – the son of the late strongman’s political rival, the late senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. – is perceived to be one of Villar’s strongest rivals for the presidency.

The signing of the coalition agreement between the NP and the KBL took place at the Villar-owned Laurel house in Mandaluyong City. The stage was decorated with orange and blue colored pin wheels – replicas of Ilocos Norte’s energy-generating wind farms.

    Symbolic colors

The NP-KBL coalition coincided with the first day of filing of certificates of candidacy for all elective posts. The filing period will last up to December 1.

After the signing, Bongbong gave Villar an orange-colored salakot which he said symbolizes leadership. The Ilocos congressman also hailed Villar as someone who understands the plight of the underprivileged.

“He (Villar) started life with so little, just like the ordinary Filipino,” Bongbong said. “Ngunit naahon nya ang sarili at pamilya sa hirap at kamangmangan (But he was able to pull himself and his family out of poverty and ignorance).”

Bongbong wore a red shirt in the event, as red is the KBL’s signature color. Elder sister Imee, herself a former congresswoman, wore an orange blouse. Orange is the color associated with the NP.

“Alalay lang ako. Mas maganda ang alalay walang masyadong responsibilidad (I’m just assisting him. It’s better this way because I don’t have too many responsibilities),” Imee said, adding that she will not be seeking any elective post in next year’s polls.

  35. “Purity of Cory Aquino pala ha?”

Manila Standard Today, January 8, 2010

A Legacy of Greed and Betrayal
    By Emil Jurado

I took time out during the holidays to read veteran journalist Cecil Arillo’s book, Greed and Betrayal, a sequel to Breakaway, his book about the 1986 People Power Revolution. The book talks about how the Reform the Armed Forces Movement or RAM succeeded in mounting a mutiny against then President Ferdinand Marcos, and how the late President Cory Aquino benefited from it.

Arillo’s sequel is about the six years of the Cory Aquino administration. It details the sins of a vindictive regime, including well-documented instances of greed and betrayal of those who catapulted Cory to power in 1986.
The Hacienda Luisita and the Mendiola massacre were also forms of betraying the trust of the tenants and farmers.

More importantly, Arillo’s book also tells us how the so-called “Kamaganak Inc.” tried to surpass the Marcos plunder in scams and anomalies. The cannibalization of so many Cory administration-sequestered corporations by the Presidential Commission on Good Government’s fiscal agents also come to fore.

I suggest the camps of Nacionalista Party standard-bearer Senator Manuel Villar, former President Joseph Estrada, administration candidate former Defense chief Gilbert Teodoro, Senator Richard Gordon and even Jesus Is Lord Movement top honcho Eddie Villanueva get hold of Arillo’s book. It shows that the legacy Mr. Clean is riding on is one of greed and betrayal.

    • im also not voting for noynoy. he may be a good person but in terms of competence, he has not proven anything in politics considering hes been a politician for quite some time. i have nothing against noynoy. however, ang mga umaaligid aligid sa kanya ang delikado. yan ang mga uupo sa pwesto kung magkataon.

id much prefer manny villar. kung talagang corrupt si villar bakit hindi idemanda? bakit hindi gawan ng kaso sa obmudsman? he is the biggest threat kaya siya sinisiraan.

Whereas si Villar–ni hindi makapunta punta sa Senado to answer his peers regarding a ‘conflict in interest’ plus illegal overpricing of his land…then nangpumunta hindi nagpaquestion sa pinagsasabi niya at nagwalkout.

Mayroong 700 page documentary evidence against him sa C-5 extension problem pa lang yan. Ito tunay, hindi peke. Marami pang iba diyan.

Go Noynoy, go Mar! God be with you in your quest to make a better Philippines!

HACIENDA LUISITA: And do you also know that the Aquinos, from Noynoy’s great grandfather, Jose Conjuangco, Sr., did not own the much-ballyhooed Hacienda Luisita, and I am going to quote here the widely-read Philippine newspaper, the Philippine Daily Inquirer:

Luisita…walang way na maiwasan dumaan doon at saka wala talagang ibang madaanan.

Since walang anomalya or katiwalian , walang issue.

“That is fair game, dahil he’s going to be the president of the country. He has to make decisions. Eh, kung may topak? Pa’no ‘yun? Dapat na mentally at emotionally stable ang mga kumakandidato sa pagkapangulo,” diin ni Enrile.

Sinabi pa ni Enrile na kung hindi nabibigyan ng kaukulang pagsusuri sa pag-iisip ang isang kandidato, maaring maging kagaya sila ni Roman Emperor Caligula na ginawa niyang consul ang kabayo niya.

And his presidential campaign’s “BIGGEST SHAM.”

  60. Madrigal calls Villar ‘evil,’ ‘corrupt’

    ON EVE OF SENATE FACE-OFF:
    Madrigal calls Villar ‘evil,’ ‘corrupt’
    By Jerry E. Esplanada

  61. Enrile’s comment on alleged psychiatric record of preisdentila candidate NOynoy Aquino:

NARARAPAT LAMANG NA suriin ang pag-iisip ng isang kandidato, lalo na ang tumatakbo sa pagkapangulo, ang kundisyon nito sa kalusugan.
Ito ang binigyang-diin ni Senate President Juan Ponce-Enrile, kaugnay ito sa kumakalat umanong pekeng psychiatric report laban kay Sen. Benigno “Noynoy Aquino III, na lumalabas na umano’y may problema sa pag-iisip.
“That is fair game, dahil he’s going to be the president of the country. He has to make decisions. Eh, kung may topak? Pa’no ‘yun? Dapat na mentally at emotionally stable ang mga kumakandidato sa pagkapangulo,” diin ni Enrile.
Sinabi pa ni Enrile na kung hindi nabibigyan ng kaukulang pagsusuri sa pag-iisip ang isang kandidato, maaring maging kagaya sila ni Roman Emperor Caligula na ginawa niyang consul ang kabayo niya.

  65. FACT— VILLAR HAS A MINIMUM OF 40 TV SPOTS A DAY AT A COST OF P10 MILLION EVERY DAY THE PAST 5 MONTHS FOR A TOTAL COST OF P1.5 BILLION – AND THAT IS NOT COUNTING HIS EXPENSES ON RADIO, DOLPHY, WILLLIE REVILLAME ETC, ETC AND THE ELECTION OFFICIAL CAMPAIGN PERIOD HAS NOT EVEN STARTED – THEY SAY HIS BUDGET IS P20 BILLION AND ALL FOR A JOB THAT PAYS P200 THOUSAND A YEAR!

LEADING NEWSPAPERS MENTIONED THAT THIS LEVEL OF SPENDING HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE IN PHILIPPINE POLITICS, IT IS OUTRAGEOUS AND SHAMEFUL. THIS IS NOT ALSO NATIONALISTA PARTY MONEY THIS IS JUST VILLAR’S MONEY, SO WHAT WE ARE REALLY LOOKING AT HERE IS ONE SINGLE INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS A PERSONAL BUDGET OF 20 BILLION JUST TO BECOME A PRESIDENT. THE REST OF THE CAST OF THE SO CALLED NATIONALISTA BANDWAGON ARE MERE HIGHLY PAID ROLE PLAYERS, THAT’S WHY ITS A POLITICAL CIRCUS, WITH ALL POLITICAL IDEOLOGIES AND COLORS (LEFTIST, FACIST, IDEALISTS, RED, WHITE, BLUE, ORANGE , ETC) PACKAGED IN ONE BASKET.

QUESTION – —-HE SAYS HE IS A GOOD BUSINESSMAN – AND IF HE IS, I WONDER WHERE HE EXPECTS TO GET HIS RETURN ON HIS AT LEAST P20 BILLIION INVESTMENT. WHAT KIND OF RETURN WILL VILLAR EXPECT – – —GIVEN THE HIGH RISK OF THIS UNDERTAKING, HE PROBABLY EXPECTS A GOOD RETURN – MAYBE DOUBLE OR TRIPLE HIS MONEY IN SIX YEARS SAY TO P60 BILLION.

DO YOU BELIEVE VILLAR WHEN HE SAYS THAT HIS INTENTION IS JUST TO SERVE? FIRST OF ALL IF HE DOES NOT INTEND TO RECOVER THE 20 BILLION HE SPENT, THEN HE IS NOT A GOOD BUSINESSMAN AFTER ALL. SECOND. WHAT IS SO SPECIAL AND MOTIVATING ABOUT BEING THE HIGHEST RANKED PUBLIC SERVANT THAT YOU NEED TO SPEND 20 BILLION JUST TO GET IT – THE ONLY BELIEVABLE AND LOGICAL ANSWER IS THAT YOU WILL GET BACK WHAT YOU SPENT TEN TIMES BY CONSERVATIVE ESTIMATE. IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE THEN VILLAR IS NOT FIT TO BECOME PRESIDENT, HE IS MENTALLY IMBALANCED.

THE RETURN —- TOTAL ESTIMATED BUDGET OF THE GOVERNMENT OVER THE NEXT 6 years IS P10 TRILLION WITH ABOUT P-1 TRILLION DISCRETIONARY – IF VILLAR MAKES C5 AND TAGA ON THE P-1TRILLION OF 20% … hmmmm THATS P200 BILLION ON AN INVESTMENT OF P20 BILLION – HMMM VILLAR IS ONE SMART BUSINESSMAN.

BUT WAIT A MINUTE, THIS IS JUST VILLAR’S SHARE WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE CAST AND ROLE PLAYERS DO YOU THINK THEY WILL JUST BE HAPPY AND CONTENTED JUST LOOKING AT VILLAR WITH 200 BILLION IN HIS POCKET. OF COURSE MERON DIN SILA. LET’S NOT FORGET THAT THE ARROYOS AND MACAPAGALS WILL STIL BE AROUND, THIS IS 100% SURE. THEREFORE, TULOY ANG CORRUPTION HOLIDAY , GUARANTEED 6 YEARS AND MAYBE INDEFINITELY SHOULD THEY SUCCEED IN AMENDING THE CONSTITUTION. DIOS KO PO, MAAWA NAMAN KAYO SA BANSA NATIN, SA SARILI NATIN, SA MGA ANAK NATIN, WAG NAMAN NATING HAYAAN MANGYARI ANG BANGUNGOT NA TO.

WHAT’S THE IMPACT ON THE POOR?- P200 BILLION THAT WILL CONSERVATIVELY BE LOST TO CORRUPTION AS A PAYBACK TO VILLAR’S CAMPAIGN EXPENSES CAN PAY FOR 40,000 CLASSROOMS TO SOLVE THE SHORTAGE PLUS CREATE A MICRO LENDING FUND THAT CAN GENERATE 3.2 MILLION JOBS – CORRUPTION IS THE CAUSE OF POVERTY!

    IN ADDITION:

NOW THE CAT’S OUT OF THE BAG….
MANNY VILLAR IS THE SECRET CANDIDATE OF PRES “GMA” … MIKE ARROYO HIMSELF MET WITH MANNY VILLAR AT THE HOUSE OF MIKE DEFENSOR LAST JAN 7…. VILLAR SECRETLY AGREED TO MAKE GMA AS SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE AND PROTECT HER SHOULD VILLAR WIN THE PRESIDENCY.. .. VILLAR AGREE TO GMA’S OFFER OF MASSIVE LOGISTICAL SUPPORT IN GMA’S COMMISSIONERS IN THE COMELEC WHO WILL ASSURE VILLAR’S VICTORY…

THIS IS THE “VFA” AGREEMENT – VILLAR FOR ARROYO (VFA) AGREEMENT. ISA NALANG ANG KULANG DITO, PARA SURE-BALL NA, ANG BASBAS NI FVR (Fidel Ramos), WHICH WOULD MEAN “For Villar and Ramos” (FVR)

IS THE VILLAR AS PRESIDENT / GMA AS PRIME MINISTER SCENARIO POSSIBLE?- IF VILLAR BECOMES PRESIDENT VIA THE 20 BILLION THAT HE WILL SPEND, WHAT IS THERE TO PREVENT THEM FROM SPENDING 50 BILLION JUST TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION? BETWEEN GMA AND VILLAR, 50 BILLION IS NOTHING. AFTER THE CONSITITUTION IS AMENDED, MAYBE ANOTHER 30 BILLION TO ENSURE THAT VILLAR AND GMA BECOME PRESIDENT AND PRIME MINISTER RESPECTIVELY, FOR AN INITIAL PERIOD OF MAYBE – 20 YEARS, PWEDE!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!

KAYO NAMAN, IT DOES NOT TAKE A GENIUS TO FIGURE THIS OUT!!!!!!!!! !!!!
PLEASE PASS… PARA DI NA TAYO MALOKO ULIT.

  66. NABABAHALA AKO KAPAG SI NOYNOY NANALO.. KAPAG MAY APEC MEETING AND UN NATION MEETING PAGTAWANAN SIYA NG IBANG PRESIDENT KASI SI NOYNOY NAGLALAWAY HABANG NAG SPEECH AND HINDI PA MAINTINDIHAN SINASABI.

NAKAKAHIYA KAPAG NA HEADLINE SIYA SA CNN BBC AND FOX NEWS.. NYAHAHAHA

  67. PLEASE!!! DONT LET SURVEY MANIPULATE YOUR CHOICE OF VOTE.

  70. I found this site while searching for the alleged psychiatric record of Senator Noynoy Aquino. It seems like this is a celebrity fan site. The entries are interesting. I enjoyed as much as learned so much reading here. Here’s my comment anyway:

Whether this Controversial Medical record is true or not, Still, I will not vote for noynoy. look at the issue about Hacienda Luisita, Until now, He can’t make decisions about it, Kung papaano nga ang gagawin niya dito. Noynoy is too emotional. Without his MOM or DAD, he is nothing.

What boggles my mind is that with all the beauties linked to Noynoy, why those relationship did not work or last??? he’s every inch an eligible bachelor, yet he remained single at 50??? is this a question of sexual abnormality or a sign of phsycological imbalance???

Presidential and vice presidential aspirants should undergo phsyciatric evaluation to ensure our future commander-in-chief is mentally sound as a person

  83. The Pope Can Wait’: Noynoy’s Yosi Break Stalls Cory Memorial Service

It seems that Noynoy really loves to take his time during his cigarette breaks. At Cory’s memorial service, Manila Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales would not start the mass because he wanted to wait for Noynoy. Apparently, the Pope had sent a letter of condolence and the Cardinal wanted to present it to Noynoy. He was baffled at Ninoy’s absence seeing the young Aquino just minutes earlier. Ninoy was eventually found just outside the cathedral taking a cigarette break with his buddies. After being told that the Cardinal was looking for him and that there was a letter from none other than the Pope to be given to him, he simply said, ““I was inside earlier and nobody was giving any letter. Just let me know when it’s really time to receive it.” He then continued puffing away. Just wow.

Don’t do to others what you don’t want others do unto you.Understand!Bopol!

PLEASE PASS…

PATHETIC you kris.

sabi nya well read sya tapos sasabihin nyang i don’t even read and watch… mahilig talagang magsinungaling ang mga baliw na eto, sabagay what do you expect ba sa mga aquino kundi manggagamit at kabaliwan.

  94. You dont read? You don’t watch? Hypocrite!!!! Huwag mo na i-defend si baby James, walang kasalanan ang bata, he’s just a toddler.

  95. SI DOLLY ANN CARVAJAL.. PARANG KAMBING ANG ITSURA NG MUKHA NA NAKAPASTOL SA BUKI NGUMUNGUYA NG DAMO..SORI HA HA HA. SI CRISTY LUCIFER.. KAIBIGAN NI WELLI REVILLAMAE PARAN DEVIL ENCARNATE ANG PANGIT MUKHANG DEMONYA AT IKAW RUFFA NAGIGING KAHAWIG KA NA NILA… MUKHANG PERA…

  96. “Why should I watch? I don’t even read. And I don’t really care. Sa lahat ng pinakamasasakit nang masasabi about me, ano pa ang ire-react ko?

    But am still here, standing!”
