“Ako actually, more than anything, I brought my son here kasi when they offer last year to do endorsement with me. I cannot refuse, not because of the money, but because the opportunity na puwede naming gawin for the new generation. To be an ambassador, puwede naming gawin ‘yung influence namin to do something na mas maganda. Sun Life is my advocacy partner sa lahat ng ginagawa ko. I didn’t think twice, it was a milestone for us both because Sun Life was the one who brought my son back here from the United States,” say ni PJ.

Aware ito sa mga bagay-bagay through the guidance of his dad. Ngayon pa lang, nag-uumpisa na itong mag-save for his future.

It’s just a temporary work, so we take advantage of it. As long as we know what define as a person, you know what you need. Para sa akin, knowing that I have enough for myself, hindi ko kailangang mag-rely sa trabaho ko. Whatever I have, it’s just practical, I guess. I mean, from the beginning, naisip ko na ipon-ipon, because rainy days will come anytime. With the help of Sun Life, it’s gonna give that balance na hindi kailangang puro ka ipon, hindi kailangang puro ka work. You could balance to be a good advocate and you know, paying forward. So with Sun Life’s help, I think, hindi lang ito porke mayroon ka ng financial backup, financial freedom. It also for sharing that for the next generation which is something growing up. Hindi naman tayo aware dito, ‘di ba? There putting words out there, not just for us adults but also for the kids to know and become more aware of financial freedom,” pahayag ng actor.

Malaking factor sa buhay ni PJ ang anak na si Iñigo para mas lalong mag-ipon at mag-invest for the future of his son. “More than anything, knowing the fact na hindi ito forever na trabaho. Kung ano ang mayroon ako, right away, I got some policy you know, high school policy, college policy, para at least mawalan ka man ng trabaho, alam mong secured ang future niya. Having my son, being the ambassador of Sun Life, that’s more than enough to secure financially. It gives you security…”

“I’m not a big spender. I usually spent on policy, real state. Since I don’t have time for anything else, like restaurant, bar, na hindi ko ginagawa, because wala rin naman akong oras. I rather be hands on sa isang bagay na alam kong puwedeng bilhin mo, in a couple of years ibenta mo, ‘yun. Bibili ka ng kotse, bibili ka ng bahay kahit ano, kung wala naman after 5-10 years, sayang lang. I rather stick my money and get policy, getting investment would be safe for a couple of years,” paliwanag niya.

It’s all started when my high school teacher approach me to sponsor a couple of student in Mandaluyong. Sta. Ana ako nag-aral noon. Anak sila ng kung sinu-sino. Sabi ko, bakit hindi sila makapag-aral? I was really curious. Nang nag-aartista na ako, tinawagan nila ako. Kung puwede raw akong mag-sponsor maybe 3-5. Du’n ako nagsimula, until lumaki nang lumaki ‘yung scholar (high school and college) namin, ‘yung foundation, through Sun Life. Every event that we have, dumarami ‘yung scholar namin. This is something na ayaw kong ipagyabang, kasi even in the past, I sent gifts diretso na ‘yun sa foundation, ‘yun,” kuwento ng actor.

I can do anything,” turan pa niya.
