ISA SI MELISSA Ricks sa mga homegrown talents ng ABS-CBN na wholesome ang image. Never pa itong lumabas sa men’s magazine na naka-skimpy outfits at bihira rin itong magpaseksi sa kanyang mga projects. Hindi rin ito bulgar pagdating sa kanyang lovelife kaya hindi siya masyadong pinag-uusapan ng press – not unless may bago itong programang uumpisahan.

Big break para kay Melissa Ricks ang bagong Hapontastic show ng Dos na ‘Nasaan ka, Elisa?’. Ito ang Philippine adaptation ng sikat na Chilean telenovela na ¿Dónde Está Elisa?, na talaga namang sinuportahan ng mga telenovela addicts sa iba’t ibang bansa tulad ng Mexico, Puerto Rico at United States.

Gagampanan ni Melissa Ricks ang papel na Elisa Altamiro, isang dalagang ‘role model’ kung maituturing – mabait na anak, responsableng tao at mapagmahal sa kapwa. Isang araw ay bigla itong nawala at pinaniniwalaang kinidnap.

Ang paghahanap sa kanya ang magiging sanhi kung bakit isa-isang lalabas ang baho ng mga taong nakapaligid sa kanya. Dito rin malalaman kung ano nga ba ang tunay na pagkatao ni Elisa.

Sa promotional pictures pa lang ng nasabing drama-thriller ay kapansin-pansin na mas palaban na ngayon si Melissa Ricks. Kung dati ay patweetums lang ito sa TV at madalas na sobrang balot na balot pa ang saplot, dito ay mas sexy na ang kanyang image. Ang maganda kay Melissa ay hindi siya ang tipo ng babae na kabastos-bastos. ‘Yan marahil ang dahilan kung bakit mahal na mahal siya ng boyfriend niyang si Jake Cuenca. Akalain mo, two years na pala silang magjowa?!

Isang malaking hamon ito para kay Melissa Ricks. Karapat-dapat na kaya siyang gawaran ng mas malalaki pang proyekto pagkatapos ng teleseryeng ito? Dito na kaya niya maha-hanap ang inaasam na paghanga bilang bida? Abangan.
