AFTER WELCOMING big stars like Coco Martin and Daniel Padilla, the dual-SIM market leader and pioneer Filipino mobile phone company MyPhone is at it again, this time signing the country’s hottest male duo Tom Rodriguez and Dennis Trillo as its newest endorsers.
Fresh from their recently concluded primetime drama depicting an unconventional love story between two men, the famed TomDen loveteam was officially launched as the newest faces of MyPhone in their contract signing at the mobile phone company’s head office in Parañaque on Thursday, November 14, 2013.
MyPhone’s VP for Marketing and Business Development Richie de Quina shares that Tom and Dennis’ courage of doing—and impressively delivering—controversial roles in their hit drama series makes them an excellent choice for the MyPhone brand.
“Our decision to get them isn’t solely based on their popularity. We believe that Tom and Dennis are as much of a game-changer in primetime television as MyPhone is in the telecommunications industry,” says de Quina.
Aside from being a first Filipino mobile phone brand in the country, MyPhone is also known for launching many firsts in the mobile phone market—a trend which they tend to continue in the coming year.
“We have a lot in store for 2014, not just exciting new products but also new campaigns and programs for our customers. And we’re very happy to have Tom and Dennis to join us in each, de Quina shares.
He further added that if the TomDen loveteam was able to enlighten the Filipino audience on a topic as controversial as homosexual relationships, certainly, they can help MyPhone espouse its advocacies as a Filipino brand.
In fact, the team is looking at how Tom and Dennis may take part in the company’s current efforts for survivors of Yolanda.
“We are very proud that all our endorsers, including TomDen, do not just endorse our products but also share MyPhone’s Pinoy heart that beats strongly for Filipinos and our country,” de Quina quips.
