We know where Mother Lily Monteverde is coming from nang hindi makapasok ang kanyang pelikulang “Mano Po 7: Chinoy” sa official entries sa 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival.
“When I heard about it, talagang umiyak ako,” pag-amin ni Mother Lily sa presscon para sa movie niya starring Enchong Dee, Jessy Mendiola, Richard Yap, Jake Cuenca, Eric Quizon, and Janella Salvador.
We watched the trailer of “Chinoy” and we were awed by its quality. Napapanahon na ang tema, maganda pa ang pagkakadirek nito kaya nakapagtatakang hindi ito nakapasok sa Top 8 ng MMFF. Sa December 14 na ito ipalalabas.
Ang worry lang ni Mother Lily ay walang pambatang entry sa MMFF. Eh, ang Pasko pa naman ay para sa mga bata.
“Sana naman after this year, they should understand – it’s not that I’m teaching them, pero all these poor people, mayroon silang mga bonus. Once they get their bonus, they bring the whole family to the movies to watch… sayang lang, nanghihinayang ako sa mga bata.”
