Melissa Mendez, ‘di makakuha ng simpatiya

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERATOUGH LUCK for Melissa Mendez. Ang kanya kasing “sympathy-seeking” live guesting sa Startalk last Saturday—which took all of two segments pa man din—proved to be dud.

Wala naman kasing bago sa inilahad na bersiyon ni Melissa as regards her verbal and physical encounter with a certain Rey Pamaran, Andrew Wolff’s companion, na co-passenger niya sa Pagadian City-bound Cebu Pacific flight.

Kung meron mang bago sa kanyang Pilit-Na-Pag-iyak School of Acting—definitely hindi niya natutunan sa Drama 101 sa FEU College of Masscom noong early 80’s—‘yun ay ang paglalakbay ng hitad down memory lane.

In a situation where one has to acquit himself by merely stating the facts—distorted as these may seem—hayun si Melissa, caught in her childhood kung saan lumaki siyang mahirap. At kahit ganoon daw ang katayuan ng kanyang pamilya, mataas ang pagpapahalaga niya sa kanyang sarili, let no one trample upon her rights.

‘Yun ang kanyang explanatory segue kung bakit nasampal niya ‘yung Pamaran who—in her synonymous words—“humiliated me, embarrassed me and degraded me!” Teka, Monsieurs Webster and Roget, magkakaiba ba ang mga salitang ‘yon?

Ang pagtawag sa kanya ng “bad breath” thus resulted in her bad behaviour, ang pagtawag sa kanya ng “mabaho” caused the spread of her foul odor-like actions.

Okey na sana ang version ni Melissa, but to relive her childhood ay isang OA na throwback! Hayun tuloy, she was thrown back, este… flown back to Manila!

And her tears, ha?

Hay, this character actress talaga is such a character.

Samantala, when searched on social media, hindi lang pala si Andrew Wolff ang kaibigan nu’ng Rey Pamaran na ‘yon. Other showbiz personalities na may mga litratong kuha with Rey ay sina JC de Vera at Fabio Ide.
