Martin, tortured Santino’s mother?

IT WAS MARTIN Nievera’s turn to answer The Buzz’s Tough Ten questions after Gary Valenciano guested on the segment. Martin has his fair share of ups and downs yet he remains resilient. He is still the undisputed Concert King after over two decades in the industry.

Payag daw si Martin na mauna sa billing si Gary kung magsasama sila sa isang concert. “G comes first before M,” he wittily answered.

Martin admitted he was insecure of Gary during the height of their rivalry. “Absolutely yes. He is poetry in motion. I thought I needed to improve a lot.” Martin said he never disliked Gary. They would hang out together. Martin introduced Gary to Pops Fernandez.

Martin was once linked to Jackie Lou Blanco. Bakit hindi sila nagkatuluyan? “It’s not because of relations since we’re distant cousins. I think we’re better off as friends,” he said.

Kung papipiliin sina Ram at Robin kung kanino nila gustong sumama, Martin said they will choose their mother. He once asked the boys the same question. Ram and Robin won’t leave their mom because they feel it is their responsibility to take care of Pops.

Martin once attempted to take his own life. “It was a wrong decision. I’m glad that I’m still here.”
Martin will attend the wedding of Pops and Jomari if he is invited. “I always say that I want to give her away.” Gusto raw niyang siya ang maghahatid kay Pops sa altar. Martin feels he has to be at the wedding.

Ano ang mayroon si Jomari na wala si Martin and vice-versa? “He has Pops, I don’t. But I have more years with Pops and I know her a lot better.”

Hindi raw niya sinabi na laos na si Lani Misalucha sa Las Vegas.

If he were to ask for forgiveness from someone, it would be Katrina Ojeda, the mother of his son Santino. “I’m sorry for putting her through too much torture. She doesn’t deserve it. She’s the most forgiving person. She forgives me. She’s a strong person and I admire her for that,” Martin enthused.
