Karylle and Christian Bautista, na-develop sa Kitchen Musical?!

CHRISTIAN BAUTISTA AND Karylle star in The Kitchen Musical, ang kauna-unahang television musical series sa Asya. This is their second time to appear together in a musical after working on Stages’ production of West Side Story where they played star-crossed lovers Tony and Maria who find themselves caught in between rival street gangs.

Produced in Singapore by The Group Entertainment, ang The Kitchen Musical ay tungkol sa isang mayamang babae who goes to work at her father’s famous restaurant The Avilon pagkatapos niyang grumadweyt sa isang culinary school Le Cordon Blue sa Paris. Karylle plays Maddie Avilon, a fresh graduate of Le Cordon Bleu who joined as the sous chef in her father’s restaurant samantalang si Christian naman ang kanyang childhood friend na si Daniel Ray.

Kuwento ni Christian, “Music, drama and food. ‘Yun naman lahat ang passion ng Asian eh. When we saw the first episode, we were just blown away on how good it was. I play Daniel Ray. I’m a sous chef that means I’m an assistant of the executive chef. Kami ni Karylle ang dalawang assistant chefs. I am the bestfriend of Karylle who is secretly in love with her.”

They recently had a boot camp in Singapore. “A few days of chef training or house training. The chefs had to learn how to stand up properly, cut food, how to cook food,” he said.

It’s not hard to play my role, Daniel falling in love with Maddie, because Karylle’s amazing and she’s very professional in her job,” papuri ni Christian kay Karylle.

Aside from Christian and Karylle, kasama rin sa The Kitchen Musical ang mga Pinoy talents na sina Ikey Canoy, Thou Reyes, and Art Acuña. “I have always known that the Filipinos are really super talented. We love to sing. Now, everyone will know. Never did I think na masi-share iyon. ‘Di naman fame eh, more of pride sa country na masi-share ko iyong ganoong joy,” sabi ni Karylle.

The Kitchen Musical is set to air in several countries across Asia and Europe including the Philippines (on ABS-CBN and Studio 23).
