Huling pelikula ni Vilma Santos, matagal pang masusundan

FILIPINOS ARE GENERALLY known for pagiging mapagtanaw ng utang na loob: an obligation – probably eternal – that has no monetary exchange.

Beyond words, hindi kakasya ang basta na lang pagpapasalamat ni Senator Jinggoy Estrada kay Mother Lily who hosted a press dinner in his honor at her own Imperial Palace Thursday night. And just who is the father of the masses, kundi ang ama ni Jinggoy who’s out to reclaim his presidential victory.

As a token of gratitude nga, ipinahayag ni Jinggoy na handa siyang gumawa ng pelikula sa Regal Films gratis at amore. Simply put, libre, walang bayad. Pero may suggestion si Tita Ethel Ramos, tinaguriang Dean of Entertainment Journalism: magpabayad daw si Jinggoy kay Mother Lily, and let his talent fee – all of it – be generously shared among the members of the working press.

Kung pahihintulutan ‘yon ni Jinggoy – and in all indications ay posible – magiging kasingbango niya ang kanyang personalized cologne with his signature on the box!

Medyo naguluhan lang ako sa nais isulong ni Jinggoy to resuscitate a dying, if not a dead film industry.

Which means that her fans will have to be more patient.

Intindido naman ‘yon ng mga Vilmanians ever since their idol began to have the best of both worlds, ‘ika nga. Ang maganda pa nga sa Star For All Seasons, isinasangguni rin niya sa kanyang mga tagahanga ang kanyang mga desisyon in both fields that she’s in.

FYI, Ate Vi never fails to meet up with her fan club officers and members, even extending assistance to those who need her help.

Kaya naman as a token of gratitude, hayun ang mga Vilmanians sa Batangas, taking time out from their daily grind bilang suporta rin sa kanilang idolo.

  3. For the past three generations, the Cojuangcos have been at war among themselves. First the sons, then their grandchildren, and now their great grandchildren. It all started about money and now it’s all about power and the ultimate political plum — the nation’s presidency.

Now, a battle royale looms between the Cojuangcos — Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III vs. Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro Jr — for the highest position in the land, the presidency. While there are other candidates in the 2010 presidential race, Noynoy and Gibo represent not only their feuding families but also rival political forces as well as competing economic interests. The stakes are high.

The 10-million strong global Filipinos in more than 200 countries are watching the two fifth-generation cousins, Noynoy and Gibo, slug it out in the largest — and possibly, final — battle of the Cojuangco wars.
