Hermes Bautista, gustong makilala bilang versatile actor

KUNG ANG MGA girls ay nililingon ng mga kalalakihan dahil sa kanilang mahaba, maitim at makintab na buhok, ganoon din si Hermes Bautista who, aside from his towering height and Adonis-like physique, is the envy of many men and women with his long, jet-black hair. Malay natin at baka sa susunod ay mapapanood natin si Hermes sa isang shampoo commercial for men? Walang imposible sa mundo ng showbiz, ‘di ba?

Hermes caught everybody’s attention when he joined Pinoy Big Brother Double Up last year. Maliban kasi sa kanyang mahabang buhok ay na-involve din siya sa love triangle with his fellow PBB housemates.

But there’s more in Hermes than his chick boy image na tumatak sa isipan ng ilang manonood ng PBB. Ipinanganak si Hermes sa Amerika pero lumaki siya sa Pampanga. He was a nursing assistant in San Diego, California before he entered Kuya’s House.

Life for Hermes did not end after he left PBB. Bagkus ay naging simula pa ito ng panibagong kabanata sa kanyang buhay bilang isang artista. The call of fame seems irresistible for Hermes who now dips his fingers in the acting pool. Napanood na siya sa Your Song Presents: Isla at sa Agimat: Ang Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla: Elias Paniki.

Muling mapapanood si Hermes sa bagong episode ng Wansapanatym where he will play Apitong, isang estatwa na nagiging tao pagkagat ng gabi. Hermes stars opposite comedienne Pokwang in the episode.

Now that he is in showbiz, Hermes wants to be known as a versatile actor. “I am excited in this new endeavor and I hope that I will be given the chance to portray various roles that will show my versatility. I am willing to accept whatever projects are offered to me,” he enthuses.

Sinabi niya sa isang interview na kahit anong role daw ang ibigay sa kanya ay payag siya. Mapa-sexy, wholesome, drama o comedy. “Tatanggapin ko and I’ll give my best,” he said. It seems like he has no qualms kung maging pantansya man siya ng mga girls and gays. But Hermes said he’d rather be known for his acting talent and he’s taking small but careful steps in his quest for fame.

Hermes is co-managed by Star Magic and Backroom.
