BLIND ITEM: SAD to say, no loud ringing of wedding bells will seemingly be heard across the nation dahil sa maugong na balitang nagkahiwalay na ang isang sikat na sikat (make it triple for purposes of distinction) na pulitiko at ang kanyang nobyang nasa larangan din ng pulitika.

If true, sayang, they make a lovely married couple-to-be pa naman, what with the girslfriend’s low-key stance inspite of her jowa’s national prominence. This girl, at least on one very important, historical occasion, chose to stay on the sidelines, that she merely took pictures via her cellphone from a distance.

Tama nang alam ng buong mundo that she has what it takes to be the next most powerful person, pero jowa lang siya. Baka nga ang “malditang” magiging hipag niyang TV host-actress ay hindi siya tanggap, for all of humanity knows.

Isa umano sa mga itinuturong dahilan ng break-up ng magjowa stems from an alleged malversation of campaign funds on the part of the girl. Again, at the risk of committing a crime of redundancy, paulit-ulit kong sasabihin ang salitang “umano.”

Umano, there was a sizeable amount of campaign funds channeled through the girl’s uncle. Pero imbes umano na gamitin ang mga ‘yon in support of her boyfriend’s candidacy during the last elections, kung saan man napunta ang pera, only God Almighty knew where.

Kung totoo umano (I keep repeating the word, ha?), napakakitid naman ng pag-iisip ng lalaking pulitiko to decide on ending his relationship with his girlfriend based on an alleged crime na wala naman itong kinalaman, much less napakinabangan.

And oh, what a price that girl had to pay!

HAY, NAKU! KUNG hindi man kakalembang ang mga kampana sa pagpapakasal ng aking subject in my previous blind item, this musical comedy titled The Wedding Singer based on the 1998 movie starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore goes on stage on October 23 at the Meralco Theatre.

For the said playdate, contact Danzen Santos on Facebook. Danzen, the smart paparazzo on Tweetbiz with a cleavage like that of the Pasig faultline, is into theatre business… this time not in the bizniz of tsizmiz.

Ang idiomatic expression na ito ay patungkol kay Vice Ganda as he flexes his hooves for the box-office race on October 13.

Launching movie ni VG ang Petrang Kabayo, a remake of the Roderick Paulate starrer na likha ng batikang nobelistang si Pablo S. Gomez. Aminado si VG na kabado siya sa maituturing na another career milestone na ito, having proven his ten cents’ worth as a standup comedian, then later sa larangan ng professional hosting, and more recently as a live perfomer in probably one of the biggest local productions ever mounted at the Araneta Coliseum.

Kaya nga bukod sa taimtim na panalangin, Vice Ganda appeals to the public for support. If VG scores success at the tills, lalo pang magtutuloy-tuloy ang kanyang mga projects that include an album under Viva Records.

TV5’S STAR FACTOR becomes more and more exciting dahil mula sa labinlimang showbiz hopefuls ay dose na lang silang lahat, a number trimmed down in determining who’s the brightest among the rest.

Sasabak ang mga artista wannabes na ito to a rigid acting test, as if to lend Direk Joey Reyes (one of the judges) his moment of vindication. Ang paniniwala kasi ng batikang direktor ay mahalaga ang talent over look, a compelling belief that he does not share with his fellow judge Annabelle Rama, who thinks otherwise.

Of the 12, dito na magsisimula ang madugong paglalakbay ng mga bagets in their elusive quest for stardom.
