Kinilalang muli ang galing ni Arjo Atayde nang tanghalin siyang Teleserye Supporting Actor of the Year sa katatapos na The PEP List Year 3 Awards.

“Thankful po ako and I feel like I’m very blessed to have all these people believing in me and helping me out, a big part of my career is really si Coco (Martin), he’s one of the people who believes in me, actually he requested me to be in the show.”

“No kasi, first sabi ko nga I’m supposed to be a part… it was also a big hit na show, dapat I was part of that show and I won’t mention na the show. Then I was… mayroon nang photoshoot and everything, I was really-really excited, then eventually like a few weeks, they pulled me out and I was wondering… and they told me mayroon kang ‘Probinsyano’.

“And then at the back of my head, obviously, curiously I don’t know what ‘Probinsyano’ was,” nakangiting pahayag ni Arjo.

So kahit nawala ka sa ibang show, mas malupit pala ‘yung kapalit?

Esplika ni Arjo, “I don’t know, for me an award kasi is a bonus. It’s a bonus na it just keeps me striving for more, being more hungry to prove myself worthy of the award. It helps me a lot, ‘yung parang you know what, I just want to prove that I’m worthy of the award you gave me.

“And at the same time, even with no award, I just want to learn my craft and just improve and improve every day.

“It’s a privilege to be part of this, at the same time, I’m learning so much things from Tita Susan (Roces), Tito Jaime (Fabregas), to Tito Eddie Garcia to Albert Martinez, which are very good actors and actresses.

“So for me, I’m very honored to have these people teaching me and believing in me at the same time.”

“Definitely, he teaches me a lot of things na about sa acting. Actually ‘di lang sa acting, kundi pati sa life, ang dami kong natututunan sa kanya and he’s very transparent to me, parang kuya ko na siya, eh,” saad pa ng tisoy na anak ni Ms. Sylvia Sanchez.

“Kaya I dedicate this award to him.

Lahat na e, pasabog, may action, may drama, may comedy, everything. We’re trying our very best naman for the viewers para mas ma-enjoy pa nila iyong ‘Ang Probinsyano’.”
