In this arduous journey, Christ suffered, was humiliated, betrayed and was crucified dahil sa ating mga kasalanan. Namatay Siya upang tayong lahat ay mabuhay.
The movie The Passion of the Christ is about the last twelve hours of Jesus Christ on earth. Sinasabing maraming tao ang umiyak sa loob ng sinehan habang pinanonood ito because they felt guilty, ashamed, moved at the enormity of Jesus’ sacrifice to save mankind. Sa isang eksena ay sinabi ni Kristo, “You have heard it said you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. For if you love only those who love you, what reward is there in that?”
What do they think would be His answer to them?
Tintin Bersola-Babao – I would ask Jesus why there is still so much hatred and violence in the world. His answer I think would be, “Because these people have yet to find their way back to Me. Because they have forgotten.”
Ima Castro – Dear God, I am sorry for not making an impressive effort to show how much I love You. But I know You can see what’s in my heart and I know it makes You smile. Despite the fact that I break my promises to You, I know that living the life I lead is pleasing to Your eyes.
My child, yes, I know you love Me but promises are not made to be broken so don’t say sorry, just don’t do it again.
K-La Rivera – If I had the chance to talk to Jesus this Holy Week, I would tell Him ‘Thank you’ and hug Him and would be drawn to tears. I would simply thank Him sa lahat. His response? I really couldn’t picture it being anything else than a warm heartfelt hug in return.
Hansen Nichols – If I got the chance to talk to Lord Jesus, all I would do is hug Him and say thank you so many times and tell Him that I love Him because He sacrificed His life for us. All He would say is because we were worth the sacrifice and that He loves His people.
Jayke Reyes – If I would be given a chance to talk to Jesus this Holy Week, I would thank Him for my loved ones and the blessings I receive. I would ask Him about my purpose in life and say sorry for all the sins I’ve done. I’m sure Jesus will tell me, “My daughter, your sins are forgiven.”
The long holiday beginning Maundy Thursday is a traditional break from our haywire schedules. Sana kahit tayo nagbabakasyon ay huwag nating kalilimutan na magpasalamat sa Diyos for giving us Jesus, the greatest sign of His love.
A Blessed Holy Week to all of us!
Kaibigan, usap tayo muli!
