When we checked on Angel’s Twitter account, wala naman siyang na-mention na naaksidente siya sa shooting ng movie nila ni Ate Vi. Ang nakita lang namin ay isang photo niya kasama ang dalawang babae habang kumakain ng halo-halo.
OUR FRIEND Alwin Ignacio who is celebrating his birthday today was kilig na kilig sa Dutch filmmaker na si Remy van Heugten. Remy megged Son of Mine which is one of the seven main competition films at the World Premieres Film Festival.
“The story is based on a lot of experience I had especially with my father, friends and relationships with my father. There’s a lot of unemployment that kind of deprived and kind of disappear,”chika ni Remy sa amin ni Alwin.
“I grew up there,” referring to the province of Limburg na siyang location ng kanyang pelikula.
“On one side it was very beautiful, probably not touched, it’s like hilly and green. On another side there’s a lot of problems in the city. Actually, it’s getting empty, the people are moving away so there’s lot of places that are empty,” dagdag niyang chika.
Special ang movie niyang ito because “for me it’s investigation of love about father and son, on generations of men.”
“Actually, it went when mother disappear, how do the men stand because there’s not many women in the story. And the men are lost without them,” said Remy na isang soccer and football player pala sa Netherlands. He has done TV dramas and shorts and feature films for television.
Kasama sa World Premieres Film Festival ang anim pang main competition movies like Sonata for Cello from Spain; Filosofi Kopi from Indonesia; The Territory from Russia; The End of Love from Taiwan; Three Lies also from Spain; and Crimean from Turkey.
