Aiko, excited sa pagbabalik-showbiz

ENOUGH OF THE election stress, balik-trabaho na uli si Aiko Melendez in yet another landmark project opposite her best friend Ruffa Gutierrez in the latter’s 5-Star Specials on TV5.

Aiko simply cannot contain her excitement, na aniya’y hudyat ng kanyang pagbabalik sa showbiz makaraan ang eleksiyon. “I hope this will be the start of my comeback as an actress, sana sunud-sunod na,” part of her text message reads. But Aiko’s optimism grows more increasingly. “Sana next time, meron na rin akong regular show.”

Airing on June 9, hindi na kami magtataka if Ruffa’s farewell episode will align itself among the week’s top-rating shows with Aiko as her guest. Paging Mr. Percy Intalan, Creative Services head, why not use it as a groundbreaking episode to usher in Aiko Melendez as the next featured artist?

BASTANTE NA KAY Rica Peralejo ang pagkakaroon ng isang problema lang, ito ‘yung Umagang Kay Ganda on ABS-CBN, and why?

Rica is back in school. An incoming junior, kursong AB Literature ang kinukuha ng aktres sa Ateneo de Manila University. Tiyempong nagkita kasi kami at the Terminal 3, pareho pala kami ng sasakyang eroplano bound for Cebu last week. Kasama ni Rica ang kanyang husband and some TV crew including Atom Araullo.

From her early morning TV show ay diretso na pala si Rica sa school. Siguro, her determination to finish her studies stems from the fact na nauna pang makatapos ng college ang kanyang younger sister na si Paula.

PROOF THAT KOREANOVELAS are here to stay is the steady influx of these foreign soap operas whose plots are no different from ours. Sabihin na nating Korea is famous for kimchi, yet our native delicacy far from theirs is no reason para hindi tayo maka-relate sa kanilang mga kuwento.

Hence, lalo pang pinag-ibayo ng TV5 ang kanilang primetime block na Prime Times 5 with the action-comedy na Hero at dramedy (drama-comedy) na Easy Fortune, Happy Life, now on its second week.

Top reporters at mga ordinaryong mamayan ng Korea na lumalaban against the elite’s abuse of power ang tema ng Hero, kung saan bida ang award-winning actor na si Lee Junki.

Iikot naman sa isang pogi at mayaman pero aroganteng bad boy ang kuwento ng Easy Fortune, Happy Life na pinagbibidahan naman ni Lan Cheng Long.

Prime Times 5 comes Mondays to Fridays. Realizing the growing demand para sa mga ganitong panoorin, kung kaya’t hindi pa nga nagkasya ang Kapatid network by bringing back My Wife Is A Superwoman, this time on its reinvigorated primetime block.
