Ai-Ai delas Alas, nagbabalak lumipat sa Singko?!

GUESS WHO’S WILLIE Revillame is charming his way through, lumipat lang ng TV5? And the answer is Ai-Ai de las Alas!

I have yet to confirm this itsy-bitsy of news with the “Tanging Ina” herself, pero kalat na kalat na ang tsika that the next ABS-CBN prized possession to jump over the fence ay si Ai-Ai. Sobra raw kung ligawan ni Willie ang Comedy Concert Queen to be part of Willing Willie, pero “flat NO” nga ba ang isinagot ni Ai-Ai sa standing offer na ‘yon?

Like a pendulum that swings on both sides, pinag-iisipan daw ni Ai Ai ang natu-rang offer, but on ONE condition: lilipat lang daw ang hitad sa Kapatid Network if there’s a guaranteed uninterrupted four-year (I repeat, apat na taon) contract with the station.

Bigla akong napaisip sa “alanganing” kontratang ‘yon, as it defies the contractual agreements na karaniwang pinaiiral ng alinmang istasyon. The most na kasi ang tatlong taong pagkakatali ng isang contractual talent with any of the TV networks, kaya bakit ang demand ni Ai-Ai ay apat?

Oh, how could I forget? Come 2013 nga pala ay tatakbo bilang mayor ng Calatagan, Batangas si Ai-Ai, and whatever political fate is in store for her is too early to tell. Naisip ko rin ang kasalukuyang edad ng hitad, Ai-Ai is already past her mid-40s. Tamang-tama lang ang kanyang four-year plan to welcome the advent of her golden age with stability in her career, so ano’ng masama?

No doubt, nais lang sundan ni Ai-Ai ang yapak ng kanyang idolong si Vilma Santos, who began her political career as Lipa City Mayor on to a higher post bilang Batangas Governor na ngayon as we all know. By then, with a four-year guaranteed income (multiplied four times din ba?) from TV5, Ai-Ai will have been financially armed.

Sobra-sobra pa ‘yon sa pagmumudmod niya ng kanyang mga biyaya as she always does, kaya naman nginingitian ng sobra-sobra ring suwerte ang hitad.

PERSONALLY—AND NOT on behalf of Tweetbiz—major turn-off ang ginawang pag-iwas ni Pia Guanio when the said QTV show made an attempt—politely at that!—to interview her, to think na ang gusto lang namang itanong sa ex-girlfriend ni Vic Sotto (yes, confirmed…Pia is already a thing of the past in Vic’s life!) had nothing to do with her lovelife.

I’m sorry, but I cannot grant ambush interviews. My manager (June Rufino) will get mad,” sabay tinalikuran nito ang mag-iinterbyu sana who even thanked Pia politely.

Lest Pia forget, she is a host herself, hindi lang sa Showbiz Central kundi sa Eat Bulaga, even an on-camera newsreader in 24 Oras showbiz segment Chika Minute. How could Pia be so assuming sa itatanong sa kanya, when it had nothing to do with her affair with a certain Steve as confirmed by a fellow host (sa Startalk nga lang) na si Ricky Lo, a respected and credible entertainment writer?

The least that Pia could have done was to say, “Oy, ‘sensiya na, ha? Kailangan kasing dumaan sa manager ko ang mga interview sa akin,” or words na pa-cute the way she projects on TV. But to turn her back on the reporter without even inquiring kung ano ang itatanong nito, teka, there’s obviously a Tagalog word to best describe it.

Nagsisimula sa letrang “K” at nagtatapos sa letrang “N”! KANDUNGAN? Definitely not, I’m not referring to Pia’s newfound  kandungan… no sensual undertones intended.
