‘Di na ni-renew ng Dos ang kontrata KC Concepcion, Susunod na kina Sharon Cuneta at Gabby Concepcion sa Singko?!

ANYTIME SOON, mababalitang kumpirmado nang nasa TV5 si KC Concepcion, this after ABS-CBN did not renew her contract.

But more interesting than seeing the former Concepcion family (Sharon Cuneta, Gabby and their daughter KC) in one TV network all together are bits and pieces that have led to KC’s enlistment in the Kapatid station.

Ayon sa aming source, pinalagan umano ni KC ang tangkang pagpigil ng ABS-CBN sa kanyang interview sa The Buzz (that was aired on November 27) tungkol sa dahilan ng paghihiwalay nila ni Piolo Pascual. But KC’s counter offer (or threat?) na kung hindi raw siya pahihintulutan sa kanyang pagsisiwalat, she would be constrained to grant an interview to either GMA or TV5.

Sa puntong  ‘yon daw nangarag ang Production Department ng Dos, thus she was allowed to go on air despite the obviously edited-out portions in the interview deemed extremely sensitive. Samantala, ang inaasahan namang kontra-sagot (na scripted?) ni Piolo on The Buzz the following Sunday was called off, marahil the network thought best for the maligned actor to simply shrug off the issue.

Tradition has it that any contractual talent who leaves and transfers to another station is accorded welcome at its warmest. Kung kailan officially sasalubungin ng TV5 si KC under its wings, by now, is only a matter of time.

Laging buena mano sa mga “bagong salta” ang sumailalim sa in-depth interview ni Cristy Fermin sa Paparazzi. We can only surmise that KC, upon setting foot on TV5, will be Cristy’s next subject. Ano naman kaya ang ikukuwento roon ni KC which was advertently edited out in her The Buzz interview?

As we always say, abangan ang susunod na kabaklaan, este, kabanata.

WHERE THERE are still legal factors to be considered, inamin ni Kris Aquino na sa puntong ito ng kanyang buhay ay hindi pa siya malayang umibig muli. But her former partner James Yap is free, although not legally as yet.

Ito ang nilinaw ni Kris as she faced the press para sa kanyang Metro Manila filmfest entry, ang Segunda Mano, which she co-produced with co-star Dingdong Dantes and Star Cinema.

Pero kambyo ni Kris, “Malay n’yo? Baka ‘yung makatabi ko sa eroplano, o kung nadapa ako at ‘yung lalaking pupulot sa akin from the ground ang magiging guy for me?” To us, parang lame excuse na lang ‘yon ni Kris, giving herself the ounce of hope that there’s still a guy out there na puwede siyang pagtiyagaan for all her idiosyncracies (read: kaluka-lukahan).

But if only for her festival entry, nagsilbi itong wake-up call kay Kris to realize how she could have made better decisions in her life. May isa kasing eksena roon with Dingdong to which Kris—who later broke down—was able to identify batay sa kanyang personal na karanasan sa buhay.

To make matters even more emotionally powerful, naikunek ni Kris ang tagpong ‘yon to her own family setup where one important member (the father being James Yap) is missing to make it solid. Du’n daw napagtanto ni Kris na ang nagbabayad ng mga pagkukulang ng mga magulang ay ang mismong anak.

As her way of making it up to Bimby, as well as to Joshua, Kris is willingly paying her dues. Over the filming period daw kasi of Segunda Mano ay apat na araw sa buong linggo niyang naipagkait sa kanyang mga anak ang kanyang panahon. Thus, she’s taking her kids to New York this Christmas time, at babalik siya sa bansa on January 7, 2012 to resume work two days later.

Samantala, Kris won’t settle for anything less than being the second top-grossing film next to Enteng Ng Ina Mo under Star Cinema. For sure, because of her, well, trademark tactlessness ay ano kaya ang nasa isip ng kanyang co-producer na si Dingdong lalo’t ang nobya nitong si Marian Rivera is cast in Panday 2 na isa ring hinuhulaang tatabo nang bonggang-bongga (from the root word “Bong”) sa takilya?
